Since 2014 RU has registered over 3,000 members but only half are active monthly as frankly there aren’t enough resources to distribute. There are over 500 children up to 18 years old and 40+ babies under 4 years old 👶

With 1% acceptance there are 200+ refugees waiting for UNHCR to resettle to Canada but the number leaving each year low digits which means that resettlement from Hong Kong is challenging to say the least 😢

The injustice and daily challenge is that we are cornered because 1) we can’t leave HK 2) we cannot work 3) we get $40 a day for food 4) the acceptance rate is 1% when the global west accepts 40-50% of asylum claims 😢
