RLPA SFL Beekeeping Project update‼️🐝🐝

As part of the Sustainable Forest Livelihoods (SFL) Programme, RLPA Technical Lead; Yimochi Melville facilitated a capacity building training with two beekeepers from Beekeeping communities in the central Rupununi.

Elwis Pedro from Quarrie Village and Kenneth Tancredo from Nappi Village were led through 2 days of training on components of Langstroth Hives on July 24 and 25, 2026.

More Training will be done to complete other aspects of the hive over the next few months.

Each hatch is another step towards helping our local poultry farmers grow their businesses and meet the increasing demand for locally produced chicken.
