Today, we celebrate the men who show up every day with love, commitment, and strength. Fatherhood is not measured by words alone, but by the countless sacrifices, lessons, hugs, prayers, and moments of guidance that shape a child's life.
Thank you for being there when your children need encouragement, protection, wisdom, and support. Thank you for leading by example, teaching values, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Your presence matters. Your love matters. Your influence matters.
May you be appreciated not only today but every day for the vital role you play in the lives of your children and families.
Happy Father's Day to all fathers who are present, engaged, and making a difference. The impact of your love and dedication will be felt for generations to come.

Today is World Refugee Day.

Some children and families have to leave their homes because it is not safe for them to stay. They may miss their houses, schools, friends, toys, and family members. But they still carry something very special with them, hope. Refugee children are brave. They need kindness, safety, friendship, and love.
Today, let us remember to welcome others, share kindness, and help every child feel safe and included. Every child deserves a safe place to live, learn, play, and dream. Be kind. Be a friend. Welcome everyone.

Play is not a break from learning. For a child, play is learning. When a child runs, builds, pretends, laughs, climbs, dances, paints, sings, or creates a world from a cardboard box, their brain is busy growing. They are developing language, problem-solving skills, confidence, imagination, social awareness, emotional control, and physical strength.
Play gives children space to explore who they are and how the world works. It teaches them how to take turns, try again, share ideas, manage frustration, make friends, and express feelings they may not yet have the words to explain.
There is deep joy in play because children feel free. Free to wonder. Free to create. Free to make mistakes. Free to discover. Free to be fully themselves.
As adults, we sometimes rush children into worksheets, screens, schedules, and expectations. But childhood needs room. Room for muddy shoes, loud laughter, pretend kitchens, block towers, outdoor adventures, messy art, and stories that make no sense to anyone except the child creating them. A playing child is not wasting time. Let us protect the joy of play. It is one of the most powerful gifts we can give a child.

Today we celebrate "Day of the African Child"

African children across the world are bright, joyful, creative, and full of promise. They carry rhythm in their laughter, courage in their hearts, wisdom from their elders, and dreams big enough to shape the future. Whether they are growing up in Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, North America, South America, or anywhere across the globe, they bring beauty, culture, intelligence, and hope into every space they enter.
African children are storytellers, problem-solvers, artists, leaders, thinkers, builders, and dreamers. They remind us of the power of family, community, heritage, and imagination.
Today, we celebrate them not because of what they may become one day, but because of who they already are.
They are loved. They are gifted. They are powerful. They are the future and they are also the joy of today. May every African child across the world grow with confidence, pride, opportunity, and the deep knowledge that they belong everywhere their dreams take them.
