πŸ‡¬πŸ‡Ύ Happy 56th Republic Day, Guyana!

Today we celebrate the beauty, culture, resilience and strength of our nation β€” from the roar of Kaieteur to the rhythm of Mashramani, from our rich wildlife to the warriors who proudly represent the Golden Arrowhead.

As we mark 56 years as a Cooperative Republic, may we continue to grow stronger together β€” in sport, in unity, and in national pride.

Proudly Guyanese. πŸ‡¬πŸ‡ΎπŸ”₯

Trinidad & Tobago National MMA Championships β€” Fight Night Recap πŸ‡¬πŸ‡ΎπŸ₯Š

A night of grit, growth, and big moments for Team Guyana at the Trinidad & Tobago National MMA Championships.

β€’ Josiah Persaud (16) opened the night in the junior division, falling via first-round rear naked choke β€” valuable experience on a big stage.
β€’ Ryan Cox delivered a composed performance, securing a unanimous decision victory after three rounds.
β€’ Yehoshua Boodie showed strong striking and grappling, but lost a hard-fought decision on points after being outworked against the cage.
β€’ Celvon Nadine pulled off a dramatic comeback, landing a roundhouse kick KO in the final round after trailing two rounds to none.
β€’ Trevlon Clark started strong, winning round one, but was caught in an armbar in the second round.
β€’ Zidhan Wray closed the night in emphatic fashion β€” mistakenly placed in the heavyweight division, he went on to:
β€’ Win his bout via first-round TKO
β€’ Take the main event against Trinidad’s top heavyweight, winning by KO in the final round
β€’ Leave with two trophies: Heavyweight Champion & Main Event Winner πŸ†πŸ†

Proud performances, lessons learned, and champions crowned. The journey continues. πŸ’ͺπŸ‡¬πŸ‡Ύ
