With over 80 teenage boys and girls in attendance, the seminar focused on empowering young minds through practical and relevant life skills. Participants engaged in sessions on etiquette, the importance of dental hygiene, strategies for building supportive peer relationships to reduce bullying, and exciting career guidance opportunities in the field of aviation.

This collaboration reflects a strong commitment to youth development and the building of confident, informed, and resilient young individuals within our community.

Take care of your eyes... there are many people who are unable to see the world. As in the words of Helen Keller:

“Try to imagine how you would feel if you lost your sight tomorrow. Picture yourself stumbling and groping at noonday as in the night, your work, your independence gone! In that dark hour, wouldn’t your heart cry out for a friend to teach you how to live in the dark?

“I appeal to you, Lions — you who have your sight, your hearing, you who are strong and brave and kind — will you not constitute yourselves Knights of the Blind in my crusade against darkness?”

Lions all over the world continue to have vision at the forefront of their service to their community. We Serve!

The Georgetown D'Urban Park Lions Club held a Visitation meeting on Monday. It was a tremendous success having Lions and Leos from Clubs within Region 2 - Guyana meet and fellowship together. Thank you to Ms Rocala Williams who made a presentation on physical wellness and mental health. Thank you for engaging our Lions and Leos about taking care of their health.

It was lovely to see our Lions and Leos bond over plans to promote service, games, good food, and amazing conversations.

Thank you to our visitors especially Lion Shabiki Cazabon, Past Council Chair and Lion Anwar Hollingsworth, Past District Governor, your presence was encouraging. May we continue to support each other as we serve our communities...💙💛
