From Region Two, Essequibo to the highest levels of legal service, Ms. Shoshanna V. Lall represents excellence, purpose, and public service.

A proud daughter of Essequibo and the first-born child of respected educators, Miss Judy and Sir Parmesh Lall, Shoshanna’s journey has been shaped by discipline, education, and a deep commitment to serving others.

With nearly two decades of legal experience across Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago, she has served in senior legal roles, including in the Office of the President of Trinidad and Tobago, and today holds the esteemed position of Deputy Solicitor General in Guyana.

Her work spans constitutional, administrative, civil, commercial, arbitration, oil and gas, foreign policy, and public law matters, representing the State and contributing to some of the most important legal conversations shaping our country.

But beyond her professional brilliance, Shoshanna’s story is also one of return, service, and purpose. She came home to Guyana to contribute to nation-building, expand access to justice, and use the law as a tool for fairness, progress, and transformation.

As we celebrate Father’s Day, we also recognize the importance of men who champion, support, and stand alongside women in leadership and national development.

At the WeLead Association Conference 2026, we are pleased to welcome Minister Charles Ramson Jr., Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, as a speaker.

As a male speaker on this year’s programme, his participation reflects an important truth: the advancement of women is not only a women’s conversation. It requires allies, advocates, leaders, fathers, brothers, mentors, and decision-makers who understand that when women rise, communities and countries rise with them.

This year’s theme, Guyana to the World: Women Building Global Bridges, calls us to think bigger about the role women are playing in shaping Guyana’s future across business, culture, youth development, leadership, entrepreneurship, and every space where opportunity is being created.
