Today, the People's National Congress Reform (PNCR) celebrates its 71st Anniversary, a momentous occasion that underscores the Party's unwavering commitment to the principles of democracy, unity, and progress.
As we celebrate this yearβs anniversary, under the theme "PNCR Resilient, United, Strong and Moving Forward," we recognize the indomitable spirit of our founders who laid the foundation for our great party. We pay tribute to the visionary leaders who have shaped our party's trajectory over the past seven decades.
We acknowledge the selfless contributions of our founding fathers and mothers, including Linden Forbes Sampson Burnham, the visionary Leader who spearheaded our party's formation. Ptolemy Alexander Reid, who played a pivotal role in shaping our party's early years. Jane Phillips-Gay, Winifred Ivy Gaskin, Ranji Chandisingh, and Jai Narine Singh, whose dedication and leadership have been instrumental in our party's growth and development.
We also recognize the significant contributions of subsequent leaders, Hugh Desmond Hoyte, Robert Herman Orlando Corbin, David Granger, and Aubrey Compton Norton, who have continued to steer our party towards a brighter future.
Today, as we embark on the next chapter of our journey, we remain resolute in our commitment to the principles of democracy, unity, and progress. Despite the challenges we have faced, our party has remained strong, united, and resilient. We have persevered through thick and thin, always putting the interests of our people and our nation first.
As we look towards the future, we are filled with hope and optimism. We are confident that together, we can overcome any obstacle and achieve greatness. We are committed to building a better Guyana, a Guyana that is prosperous, just, and equitable for all.
We invite all members, supporters, and well-wishers to join us in celebrating this momentous occasion. Together, we can build a brighter future for ourselves, our children, and our beloved Guyana.
Long live the People's National Congress Reform!
