The Bishops' High School -Guyana Environmental Club attended the Ministry of Agriculture, Hydrometeorological Service's exhibition in observance of World Ozone Day 2024, under the theme "Montreal Protocol: Advancing Climate Action." The exhibition aimed to raise awareness among students about the significance of ozone layer preservation and Guyana's role in reducing ozone-depleting substances.
Students engaged in various activities, including an interactive presentation, visiting booths about ozone layer protection, conducting experiments related to water turbidity, took part in a scavenger hunt with clues and matching, and observed a timeline outlining plans from Hydrometeorological Service, Guyana to support the ozone layer. Along the way, students won prizes for their participation. They also participated in conversations with the EPA on what they strive to accomplish in Guyana.
