The official launch of the 30th Anniversary of Sonia Noel Designs, co-hosted by the Canadian High Commission in Guyana, brought together a wide cross-section of attendees, including members of the diplomatic corps, government officials, creatives, entrepreneurs, private sector representatives, media, and supporters from various sectors of society.

Sonia Noel Inc is especially grateful for the presence and support of members of the diplomatic community. With their very demanding schedules and responsibilities, their attendance and participation made the evening even more meaningful.

The evening served as a celebration not only of 30 years in the fashion industry, but also of creativity, culture, leadership, collaboration, and the power of the creative industries to connect people and communities.

Sonia Noel Inc extends sincere appreciation to everyone who attended and contributed to making the launch such a memorable and significant occasion.

Another memorable highlight from the official launch of the 30th Anniversary of Sonia Noel Designs, co-hosted by the Canadian High Commission in Guyana, was the remarks delivered by the Honourable Susan Rodrigues.

During her address, Minister Rodrigues praised Sonia Noel’s contribution to Guyana’s creative industry, cultural development, mentorship, and regional representation.

“Sonia Noel is not just a celebrated fashion designer; she is a cultural ambassador, entrepreneur, mentor, and visionary.”

The Minister further stated:

“For over three decades, she has built a brand that has consistently celebrated Guyanese presence in the regional and global fashion space.”

She also acknowledged Sonia Noel’s commitment to supporting others, developing platforms for emerging talent, and promoting Guyana’s creative sector internationally.

“If you need Sonia’s help, one phone call is all it takes, and she will get on a plane and go wherever she needs to go to give her public service.”

Sonia Noel Inc is deeply grateful for the continued support, encouragement, and recognition from leaders who understand the importance of creativity, culture, mentorship, and the creative industries in national and regional development.

Sharing another special moment from an evening that celebrated creativity, purpose, leadership, and legacy.

My self-care is non-negotiable.
Not because I have the time…
But because I understand the value.
I protect my peace.
I honor my body.
I choose rest when needed.
I set boundaries without guilt.
I give myself permission to pause.
Because I have learned that when I take care of myself,
I show up better… stronger… clearer…
for everything and everyone connected to my purpose.
Self-care is not a luxury.
It is not selfish.
It is survival. It is strength. It is alignment.
And I will never compromise on that.
Over the last two weeks, my focus has been alignment and consistency,
and I am carrying those words with me as I step into this new month with intention.

Today the on the first day in a new month and first day in the second . I am reflecting on the beauty of life, the power of adaptability, and the possibilities that come with it.
There is something so important about having the ability to adjust, not just to survive in new environments, but to truly immerse yourself in them. To embrace where God has placed you, to find your rhythm, and to look for the silver lining in every situation.
final edit ;I am not home, but I am not missing home, because home is where the alignment for your assignment is. And yes, I do miss my family .
I am sitting here today, surrounded by people I have never met before, yet the connections feel so natural. The conversations are empowerment, the energy is welcoming, and I am simply in awe.
A young lady just came up to me and shared how one of my books impacted her from last night. Moments like these remind me that when we step out in faith and show up fully, doors begin to open in ways we could never plan.
Life is not always about being in familiar spaces. Sometimes it is about trusting the journey, embracing the unknown, and allowing God to lead.
I am grateful. Grateful for the people, the opportunities, and the unfolding of purpose.
Keep showing up. Keep adjusting. Keep trusting.
There is always a blessing on the other side of obedience.
I am grateful to everyone I met on my journey.

As we come to the close of Women's History Month, today I honor some of my sisters in Barbados.
Barbados holds a special place in my heart. It is the only place I have ever lived outside of Guyana, and over the years, I have cultivated some truly meaningful friendships there.
The women in this photo are strong, phenomenal, and accomplished in their respective fields. Each of them is doing amazing work, yet what makes this circle so special is the spirit of support we share.
There is no competition, only celebration. We complement each other, we uplift each other, and we create a space where every woman feels valued and empowered.
Being in their presence reminds me of the power of sisterhood, the kind that encourages growth, confidence, and authenticity.
Today, on the final day of Women's History Month, I honor these incredible women. Thank you for your friendship, your strength, and the beautiful energy you bring into my life . Continue to empower others Jewel Forde Jo-anne Sealy-Cumberbatch Sonia and Linda

As we close out Women's History Month, I take this moment to honor this incredible group of phenomenal women.
Each of you are captains in your respective industries, showing up with strength, purpose, and impact. I have had the privilege of partnering with each of you on meaningful events or projects, and that in itself is a blessing.
Indrani, I admire how you navigate your position in an industry dominated by men with such strength and grace. We created some unforgettable memories in South Africa, and I look forward to seeing you again.
Nicole Dyer Griffith I have always admired you, but recently even more so. Your courage and the way you are facing cancer, while giving hope to other women to survive and live fully, is truly inspiring.
Indrani Govender, I admire how you continue to create invaluable life experiences along your journey.
Ann Marie Walters I am so proud of your accomplishments, and I will never forget my last trip to Jamaica because of your incredible hospitality.
Ann-Marie Hassanali Your passion for supporting widows is admirable, and I know the best is yet to come.
Hilda Bourne Page you have such a beautiful heart. From the moment we met, you made me feel like family.
Andrea R Adams , your teachable spirit is something I truly admire. It will continue to carry you far on this journey.
Dr Tanya Destang-Beaubrun your transformation and your determination to impact lives is powerful.
Damita Parks your work in confidence building is at another level.
Clemencio Goddette my favorite cousin, you are always willing to give, and I love that about you.
Dr. Lidwine Meffo , you are a champion with a remarkable ability to create opportunities for others.
Sara Khalil sometimes you feel like my third daughter, and I love you.
Nadira Budhram your passion for making the world a better place is truly admirable.
The world is a better place because each of you are contributing to humanity in your own unique way.
Keep soaring. Keep leading. Keep shining.

I have featured many phenomenal women for Women's History Month, and there are still so many more to celebrate.
This photo was taken at Dining with the Eagles in Atlanta, and in this one moment, you can see the presence of powerful women who are showing up and making a difference.
Like the eagle, they are soaring to greater heights, rising above challenges, embracing vision, and moving with strength and purpose. Eagles do not flock, they fly with intention, clarity, and focus. They rise above the storm instead of being consumed by it.
These women embody that same spirit. They are leaders, trailblazers, and women of impact who continue to elevate not only themselves but those around them.
I honor them as the celebration continues.
Keep soaring Sharon Mitchell-Barnwell Cazzy BeeIamSophia LH

Some friendships feel like sisterhood, and that is exactly what I have with Jocelyn.
She is one of the most kind-hearted people I know, and I truly cherish the relationship we share. There is a genuine authenticity about her that I deeply admire. She shows up as herself, with honesty, grace, and strength.
I am so proud of her growth, especially within the company she works with. The way she commits her time and energy to the things she believes in is truly inspiring.
What I love most is her love for family. Family is at the core of who she is. She is deeply connected, present, and intentional in the way she shows up for the people she loves.
As we wind down Women’s History Month, I am honored to celebrate her today. Jocelyn, thank you for being the beautiful, strong, and authentic woman that you are.
I love you, my friend Joselyn Antigua
