We are thrilled to share an inspiring update from our Onderneeming Youth Mentorship Circle! In partnership with our dedicated team and community leaders, we are actively guiding youths, building leaders, and strengthening communities.

Through interactive, hands-on sessions, these incredible young minds are building the skills, confidence, character, and future they need to thrive. ✨

Here is a look at the impactful topics our youths have covered so far:
🌱 Understanding Emotions & Healthy Expression – Learning to recognize, manage, and express feelings positively.
🤝 Building Trust, Respect & Teamwork – Working together, listening, and solving challenges as a united team.

Today, the entire Food For The Poor Guyana Inc. family joins together to celebrate the incredible woman at our helm.

Andrea’s journey with FFTP Guyana spans nearly two decades of unwavering dedication. Long before stepping into the role of Chief Executive Officer, she served on the ground as our Senior Project Manager, leading development initiatives across all 10 administrative regions of Guyana. Her profound impact on community development earned her recognition as one of the 25 Influential Women Leaders in 2023.

Under her visionary leadership, FFTP Guyana is undergoing a powerful transformation. From pioneering adult literacy programs in the hinterlands to driving youth enhancement and urban agriculture, Andrea continues to empower vulnerable individuals, strengthen families, and build independent, sustainable communities.

Andrea, thank you for leading us with a servant’s heart, a strategic mind, and an unmatched passion for rural transformation. We wish you a year ahead filled with good health, joy, and continued success!

Our Braids of Hope project is in full swing, and these talented young women are taking their skills to the next level. After mastering the basics of precision parting and sectioning, they have stepped up to a major milestone: learning the knotless braid technique.

Knotless braids require high precision, a steady grip, and the patience to seamlessly feed in small sections of hair for a natural, lightweight finish. Week by week, our participants are transforming their passion into professional expertise, paving a definitive path toward economic independence and female entrepreneurship in Guyana.
