The annual Miss Guyana Beauty Pageant is a project of Bts Production & Event Management, Incorporated (BPEM), a non-stock, non-profit organization. The pageant, BPEM's primary instrument as it pursues its mission of spreading peace and love across the nation, is a fund-raising activity for projects that would benefit orphans, indigent families and other less fortunate members of Guyanese society.

Apart from producing the country's best beauties as representatives for various international competitions, BPEM has been a key partner in nation-building for over a decades, providing skills training, educational workshops, mission work, and other relevant services for the marginalized sectors of the community. Winners of the celebrated beauty titles serve as official Guyana representatives to the two most renowned international pageants -- Miss Earth and Miss International. Bts Production & Event Management, Inc.'s relevance as an organization lies in more than just the quest for the True Guyanese Beauty—it is the gateway to many meaningful opportunities to be able to make a difference in the world, with its enduring commitment to various humanitarian causes.
