The Guyana Girl Guides Association is proud to receive support from the Massy Foundation following its official launch in Montrose.
This funding will support our Girl Powered Nutrition Project, a 6-month initiative reaching girls across Guyana and equipping them with practical knowledge on healthy eating, nutrition, and overall wellbeing
and highlighting the importance of initiatives like these.

Together, we are empowering girls to make healthier choices and create positive change in their communities ๐Ÿ’š. Stay tuned for further updates on the rollout of this programme.

World Thinking Day 2026 Celebrated!

The Guyana Girl Guides Association brought together Brownies, Guides, Rangers, Young Leaders, and Leaders at the Guyana Girl Guides Pavilion for a fun and inspiring World Thinking Day celebration under the theme โ€œOur Friendship Friendship Across Time and Traditions.โ€ ๐Ÿ’š

Through games, songs, interactive activities, and a lively podcast-style discussion, participants reflected on the power of friendship and the global sisterhood that connects Girl Guides around the world.

This yearโ€™s celebration was especially meaningful as we mark 100 years of World Thinking Day, celebrating the friendships and values that continue to shape girls and young women everywhere.

Today, the Girl Guides Association of Guyana proudly celebrates the strength, resilience, and achievements of women and girls everywhere. Across our communities and around the world, girls are learning to lead, serve, and create positive change.

Guiding empowers girls to discover their voices, build confidence, and develop the skills they need to shape a better future. Through friendship, service, and leadership, our Guides are growing into women who uplift others and make a difference in their communities.

On this International Womenโ€™s Day, we reaffirm our commitment to creating spaces where girls can thrive, lead boldly, and dream without limits.

๐Ÿงก The Guyana Girl Guides Association
Gender-Based Violence affects far too many women and girls in Guyana.
1 in 2 women face partner violence, and Guyana has the highest femicide rate in the region. These are not just statistics they are our sisters, daughters, friends, and Guides.
The Guyana Girl Guides Association stands firmly against GBV.
We are committed to creating safe spaces, promoting respect and equality, and empowering girls to speak up and support each other.
During these 16 Days, we join the call to end violence, break the silence, and protect our sisters.

The Guyna Girl Guides Association celebrated the power, potential, and voices of girls in our movement! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’–. In honour of International Day of the Girl Child 2025, our Girl Guides came together for an empowering afternoon of reflection, creativity, and sisterhood. Through a powerful simulation and group activities, the girls explored what it feels like to be silenced and why itโ€™s so important for girls to speak up and be included in decisions that shape their lives, communities, and futures. Every voice shared today reminded us that when girls are heard, change happens. ๐ŸŒโœจ Weโ€™re proud of our Guides for their courage, confidence, and commitment to standing tall and speaking up not just today, but every day. ๐Ÿ’™
