We’ve just wrapped up an absolutely amazing weekend with the Vision Life Book, and the energy has been through the roof! We had participants from all over the globe, from Namibia to London, connecting in vibrant breakout rooms, sharing visions, swapping numbers, and finding accountability partners. The testimonials have been nothing short of inspiring, and the networking was truly next level.

Hats Off to 2026: Intentionally Stepping Boldly into 2026

As we step into 2026, I’m tipping my hat to everyone ready to live with intention and purpose. I want to give a heartfelt thanks to all the incredible people who have helped me chart my course and shape my vision this past year.This year, let’s not just set goals let’s become the architects of our lives, crafting our vision one page at a time.

I’m absolutely fueled right now by the Vision Life Book I’m creating. It’s giving me the energy and clarity to make the next decade God willing the best one yet. As I enjoy my sabbatical and revisit my mission, vision, and core values, I encourage you all to take that time, too. Let’s make 2026 a year of clarity and vision, and let’s shape our future with intention.

Here’s to a year and a decade filled with purpose and the most beautiful vision for our lives. Happy New Year!

It was an honour to celebrate Qatar National Day, hosted by the Qatar Embassy last evening at the Marriott in Georgetown, in recognition of the State of Qatar’s National Day. Congratulations to Chargé d’Affaires Mr. Mohd Ibrahim K. B. Alrumaihi and his team on a beautiful event!

Last Saturday, our hearts were truly touched at the Senior Citizens’ Retreat hosted by the Sonia Noel Foundation. As I look through the magnificent photos from the day, I’m reminded of how much our seniors have given to us over the years — and how deeply they deserve our love, care, and honor in return.
For over 15 years, SNF has been committed to ensuring our elders feel valued, celebrated, and seen, and this retreat was a beautiful continuation of that mission. Watching their smiles, feeling their hugs, and hearing their words of gratitude brought tears to my eyes. It reminded me of my own grandmother — and how blessed I felt to have my 90-year-old cousin there as well.

Let’s always remember: a society is judged by how it treats its elders. There is always something we can do to give back to those who have paved the way for us. I am profoundly grateful to everyone who contributed to making this day possible, and I look forward to many more moments like this in the future. May God bless all our wonderful seniors.
A big thank you to my dear friend Stanley Ming who did not hesitate to partner with us. Much appreciation to Ridley Catering, Raquel Thomas-Caesar Terry Gonzalez Cesar Lisa Insanally Phillipa Morrish and Perry Yhap, Rita's Kitchen Shakira Gafoor , and the leadership of Love and Faith for their heartfelt contributions.

This beautiful gathering featured games, a nature walk, and storytelling, offering precious insights into the rich lives and legacies of our elders. The retreat wasn’t just about reminiscing — it was about living fully in the moment. Many attendees even joined in a joyful electric slide, led by the ever-energetic Negla Helena Brandis whose presence was as vibrant as her vision.

“I want the seniors of Guyana to be made a priority before I go to the great beyond,” shared Ms. Brandis — words that resonated deeply with all who heard them. Her advocacy for the elderly and her vision for their well-being in Guyana remain unmatched and truly inspiring.
