📢 WE’RE HIRING – PORTER / SALES ASSISTANT
Caribbean International Distributors Inc. (CIDI) is seeking a reliable and hardworking Porter / Sales Assistant to join our Sales & Distribution team in Georgetown, Guyana.
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Reports To: Sales & Commercial Manager
Key Responsibilities
-Assist sales representatives with picking, preparing and processing customer orders.
-Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
-Pack, arrange and organize products for delivery.
-Accompany drivers on delivery routes and assist with timely and accurate deliveries.
-Verify delivered goods and obtain proof of delivery where required.
-Provide basic customer service during deliveries.
-Communicate stock availability to the sales team.
-Ensure products are handled carefully to prevent damage.
-Maintain a clean, organized and orderly truck.
Requirements
-High school certificate preferred but not mandatory.
-Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, retail, porter or general labour is an advantage.
-Must be physically capable of lifting and handling products.
-Good communication, teamwork, basic numeracy and record-keeping skills.
-Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
-Knowledge of retail/workplace safety practices.
-Ability to operate pallet jacks or trolleys is an asset; training can be provided.
-Valid driver's licence where required.
