Jesus said, "Ye are the light of the world....Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
The Youth Ministries Department held its second National Senior Youth Day on June 6th under the mission driven theme:
G - Go
L - Light
O - Our
W - World
Senior youth led out in the day's service, highlighting the history of the Youth Ministries Department and the contributions young people made to its development. The life and ministry of the Apostle Paul came into focus. Ultimately, the command by Jesus to shine our light so that God the Father would get the glory, saw the youth recommitting their lives to Jesus to GLOW for Him.

Youth Congress 2026 has commenced with an Independence basketball championship dubbed "Adventist Hoops Fest."
Seven (7) zones, made up of sixteen (16) youth federations participated in the event on May 26th at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
The championship was hosted by the Youth Ministries Department of the Guyana Conference of Seventh-day Adventist and aimed at fostering the physical and social needs of the youth.
The event was professionally organized with full spectators involvement.
There was a half time free throw and musical chairs challenge for spectators.
Congratulations to all of the teams that participated including the teams which finished first, second and third.
1st Place - Berbice Conquerors: (Becian Stars, Bercan, Cordas, Bennoss)
2nd Place - Salcius: (Salcah, Excelcius)
3rd Place - Calzuri: (Calphays, Zuriel)
