On Thursday last, a team from the Private Sector Commission led my Chairman, Gerry Gouveia Jnr , met with Local Executives of Exxon Mobil Guyana Limited to discuss how the PSC can better benefit from Local contracts from the Oil and Gas sector and other sectors as well. President of the Guyana Customs House Brokers Association, Colin Moore was there to champion the efforts of local Customhouse Brokers. The PSC is a main partner of the Guyana Customs Brokers and Clerks Association for whom we are a sectoral member. Exxon promised that more efforts will be made to provide more insights into upcoming projects so that we, the Private Sector can be better informed and prepared to be more competitive and successful in future bids.

The Private Sector Commission (PSC) met today with the leadership of ExxonMobil Guyana as part of ongoing engagement with key private sector stakeholders to strengthen dialogue and cooperation on national priorities.

Discussions focused on PSC’s role in advancing local content and national development, as well as its more than 10-year collaboration with ExxonMobil Guyana, which has contributed significantly to building Guyana’s economy. The meeting also reaffirmed joint support for expanding new opportunities within the business community and strengthening local consortiums to drive sustainable growth.
