⚠️ IMPORTANT UPDATE: Guam Health Forward 2046 Summit Rescheduled

Due to National Weather Service forecasts for Tropical Disturbance Invest 96W, which could strengthen into a tropical storm or typhoon as it passes through the Marianas this weekend, Todu Guam Foundation has rescheduled the Guam Health Forward 2046 Summit to:

Saturday & Sunday, January 23–24, 2027

We made this decision early so no visiting faculty or guests travel into the storm, and so every family across the Marianas can focus on keeping their homes and loved ones safe.

Already registered? Your registration carries over to the new dates. No action needed.

Held in celebration of TGF’s 10th anniversary of service to our community, the Summit’s purpose and program remain unchanged:

✅ Same program, sessions & speakers
✅ Free & open to all
✅ Up to 11.0 CE hours for physicians, nurses/NPs, pharmacists & social workers, and up to 6.0 hours for psychologists, through Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Thank you to our faculty, partners, and sponsors, including Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Bank of Guam, United Airlines, and our many community partners, for their flexibility and continued support.

Stay safe, Marianas. Prepare your homes, check on your family and neighbors, and follow official updates from the National Weather Service and Guam Homeland Security/Office of Civil Defense.

👉 Updated schedule, venue & registration details will be posted at www.toduguam.com

Meet Our Featured Panelist

Amanda Young
Community Advocate & Educator

For nearly two decades, Amanda Young has lived the reality of chronic disease beyond the clinic, as the mother and caregiver of a daughter living with Type 1 diabetes. From glucose swings and emergency preparedness to school, access, and quality of life, she knows what families face every day.

Her advocacy helped bring about Guam’s Evie Young Student Health Services Act (P.L. 34-114), which strengthened protections for students who need access to emergency medications at school. An educator and creative strategist, Amanda advocates for diabetes care that sees the whole person, supports the caregiver, and makes healthcare more human.

Amanda joins Dr. Frederick Niegos’s session, “Guam’s Metabolic Crisis — From Diagnosis to Transformation,” bringing the voice every health plan needs: the family living it.

Few people have done more to fight diabetes and chronic disease on Guam than Patrick Luces. As Chairman of the Guam Diabetes Control Coalition, he brings together public and private partners working to reduce diabetes and close gaps in care across our island.

He led the Bureau to the 2023 National Association of Chronic Disease Directors Health Equity Championship Award, and he received the KUAM Care Force Award for Health & Wellness in 2014.

Regionally, he co-founded and served as the first chairman of the Pacific Chronic Disease Council for the U.S.-Affiliated Pacific Islands. He has served on the Guam Diabetes Association board since 2006 and is Immediate Past President of the Filipino Community of Guam.
