🚨 Historic win for workers everywhere.
The International Court of Justice has ruled that the right to strike is protected under International Labour Organization Convention 87, the cornerstone convention on freedom of association.
IndustriALL Global Union has been fighting for this since 2012. We joined global days of action, mobilized affiliates across the world, launched a petition and kept the pressure on through years of deadlock. Today, it paid off.
As general secretary Atle Høie said: "It is a big day for the world of work."
This ruling sends a clear message to employers and governments: the right to strike is not up for debate. It is a fundamental workers' right and now it's confirmed under international law.
