A better home can change so much.

Meet Telma, a mother of three who works tirelessly to provide for her family after her husband left for the United States and never returned.

Through ACD Guatemala’s Community Projects Program, Telma received an improved eco-stove, an ecofilter, and a concrete floor, changes that are helping create a cleaner, healthier, and more dignified home for her children.

But beyond these improvements, Telma found something just as meaningful: a sense of belonging and a community that stands with her.

The time has come to start sharing with you the good news behind all the work we’ve been doing throughout this year.

Behind every dream, there is a story.

Denisse (10) and Daniel (12) siblings, have grown up facing very difficult circumstances, growing without both parents brought challenges that once made them consider leaving Guatemala in search of a better future. Today, thanks to the ACD Scholarship Program, they can continue their education, grow, and build their dreams right here in their community.

Denisse dreams of becoming a pilot.
Daniel dreams of traveling and seeing the world.

Their story reminds us that one opportunity can change the course of a future.

We believe that leadership begins with small acts of love and service. 🌟

We are partnering with student leaders from Colegio Suizo Quetzaltenango , who have chosen to use their talents and hearts to serve other children through Kids for Kids. 🤝
This initiative encourages children helping children, fostering empathy, kindness, and a shared commitment to supporting our scholarship students, because when children learn to serve, they grow into the leaders our world needs.
Every child has the power to make a difference. 💛

Serving with love, leaving hope behind.

Last week, we had the privilege of welcoming the mission team from St. John the Apostle United Methodist Church, from Arlington, Texas. Through their hands and hearts, families experienced God’s love in tangible ways, bringing hope, encouragement, and lasting impact to our community.

“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16

Thank you for serving with compassion and for being the hands and feet of Christ. We are grateful for you, and can’t wait to see what God continues to do together.

We are deeply grateful for the visit from the youth group of Franklin First United Methodist Church, who shared with us several days filled with service, love, and joy.

Their enthusiasm, commitment, and willing hearts were a tremendous blessing to our community. Through every activity, smile, and act of service, they reminded us that God can use young people in powerful ways to bring hope and reflect His love.

Smiles were restored, pain was relieved, and lives were touched through the power of service.

We are deeply grateful to the dental mission team from First Centenary United Methodist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee, for sharing their skills, compassion, and faith with the communities of Quetzaltenango, Guatemala.

Over the course of four days, the team provided dental care to 130 patients, bringing not only treatment but also hope, dignity, and encouragement to those they served.
