As you read Mental health is not a secondary issue! It is a HUMAN, SOCIAL, and structural CRISIS.

Globally, more than one billion people live with mental health disorders. In Guatemala, the numbers demand urgent attention: thousands of diagnoses, young people deeply affected, and a major gap between those who need support and those who actually receive treatment.

Talking about mental health is not enough. We need data, access, prevention, public policies, investment, and safe spaces where asking for help is not a privilege.

In Guatemala, silence has carried too much for too long. A country cannot build its future while its youth are struggling without access to care. Mental health is not only about not feeling great or getting treatment. Its about dignity, opportunity, and the kind of country we are willing to become.
