Little Learners Thursday

It’s !
🐾 Today we’re spotlighting one of our favorite brain-teasers: Dog Pile! 🐶

It’s more than just stacking cute pups. While kids are busy trying to fit those colorful bulldogs and poodles into the grid, they are actually building master-level skills!

What are they learning?
Spatial Reasoning: Visualizing how shapes fit together in a 3D space.
Critical Thinking: Problem-solving when that last Golden Retriever just won't fit!
Fine Motor Skills: Carefully balancing and placing the pieces.
Patience & Persistence: Learning that if at first you don't succeed, you "paws" and try again! 🧩

Celebrating 8 Years of Our Library!📚🙏🏼

Today, we celebrated the 8th anniversary of the library in this building. We held a small party filled with different activities for everyone to enjoy.

We all gathered together with the children, and it was a beautiful sight. The highlights of the afternoon included:

The Tale of Redhead: A wonderful storytelling session that the kids loved. Thanks for the preparation to Deisy and Gaby.

Games with Alicia: Alicia organized a fun game for the children in the courtyard (la cancha). Thanks for that.

Emma and Martin: They provided great cookies for the kids and supported with activities.

• Mareke: painted the wall together with the kids.
• K**e: general overview about everything.
• Familia de K**e: providing us with food and drinks.

It was a lovely afternoon. Thank you all for the love and for making this day so nice!

Les invitamos con mucho cariño a nuestras clases gratuitas de salud este sábado 16 de mayo en Ix-Canaan Clínica Médica 💚🩺

Como parte de nuestro compromiso con la educación y el bienestar comunitario, estaremos ofreciendo dos espacios informativos y prácticos para aprender más sobre el cuidado de nuestra salud y la prevención de enfermedades.
Diana, Tony y nuestro voluntario Martin estan preparando dos clases.

🌱 Tendremos una clase sobre salud intestinal, donde hablaremos sobre la importancia de una buena digestión, hábitos saludables y cómo cuidar nuestro cuerpo desde adentro.
💚 También ofreceremos una clase sobre prevención y manejo de la diabetes, compartiendo información útil para reconocer síntomas, prevenir complicaciones y apoyar una vida más saludable.
Puede asistir a una sola clase o participar en ambas ✨

💛 Little Learners Thursday at Ixcanaan 💛

Yesterday was full of joy, laughter, and curious little minds. Emma started her English classes — and the best part? Learning through play.
Emma empezó con las clases de inglés con juegos. New words, big smiles, and so much courage to try something new.

These small beginnings hold so much power. Creating a space where children can explore, express, and grow — step by step, word by word.

🐶💚 Yesterday was a day that truly mattered 💚🐶

We carried out a sterilization action with four male dogs at Clínica Ixcanaan — a small step with a big impact for their health and for the community.

With so much gratitude, we were supported by an amazing volunteer connection through . A special thank you to French veterinarian , who came to help us with her knowledge, care, and dedication.

These moments remind us that real change happens through collaboration, compassion, and people who show up.
Every life touched counts. Every action matters. Soon to be continued.
