Between The Strings Project is rooted in music and community—but we don’t just offer music.

Come join us for local experiences for solo travelers, couples, and families on Lake Petén Itzá.

🐟 Ceviche, and try Pescado Blanco—the fish from the lake (often served fried)

🍽️ Great village cuisine—French at and local favorites like Las Orquídeas Italian, also papusas, tacos, and street food.

“Lo Natural es Decirlo – Vol. Biotopo Cerro Cahuí” is a nature-based writing gathering created to help you slow down, connect with the Petén jungle and Lake Petén Itzá, and translate what you feel—memories, emotions, reflections, or brand-new experiences—into words.

This is for:
🌿 Lovers of nature
🔎 Curious minds
✍️ Anyone who enjoys writing (and those who think they’re not writers)

No writing experience is needed. Come as you are—bring your presence, your openness, and a willingness to listen to the place around you.

We love supporting experiences like this because they build something real: connection to land, creativity, and community, rooted in Petén.

Between The Strings Project is not a campaign, a season, or a moment.
It is a long arc — shaped slowly, deliberately, and with care.

Rooted in El Remate, Petén, Guatemala, between Lake Petén Itzá and the living edge of the Mayan jungle, BTSP is growing from the ground up. What we are building is intentional and enduring: spaces where music, education, culture, and land are treated with respect — and where relationships matter more than speed.

Here, music is not just something that is taught or performed — it is something shared.
Education is not something imposed — it is cultivated together.
Progress is not measured in headlines — but in trust, continuity, and care.

Every instrument placed in a young person’s hands, every class shaped with intention, every tree planted and structure raised is part of a deeper commitment: to create something meaningful, dignified, and lasting — for the community, and for the generations that follow.

This is the foundation phase.
The quiet work before visibility.
The part that makes everything else possible.

We’re proud to share that our music education ambassador Tyler Happy-Feet Weins, is currently in Hawai'i spreading rhythm, joy, and community through music. 🌊🌴
