The first phase of the eco-artisan women center is officially completed 🙌 ✅

It takes a community to give birth to such a dream and we are very lucky with Give Back to the Source to have such a community!

The center’s main contraction materials are bamboo and rock, all sourced locally. The community was involved at every step of the construction. 🤎

A perfect pre-inauguration day 🤗

Today we hosted the first workshop in the eco-artisan women center with over 20 participants. 🙌

Over a year ago donated around 70% of the required funds to make the dream of a women center a reality. Today, we had the chance to share a workshop for both, sagecacao group and the women from la Union community in Guatemala. Together, they learned how to make bamboo cacao cups.

It is amazing to see both groups united, sharing knowledge, getting involved and making bamboo crafts.

🌿 Exciting news from Chicacao, Guatemala!
November 21st from 10 am to 1 pm is the inauguration of our Eco-Artisan Women Center, a space dedicated to empowering local women through sustainable craftsmanship. This initiative blends traditional techniques with eco-friendly practices, fostering economical empowerment while supporting our planet.

Join us in celebrating this incredible community milestone and the dedicated women who make it all possible. 2 years of dreaming, planning and building. Together, we can build a brighter, more sustainable future!

The inauguration is open to all. We encourage community members, collaborators and social/environmental activists of the region to join us.
If you can’t make it, we will be capturing the event and sharing it with you!

Location: Aldea la Union, Chicacao, Suchitepequez, Guatemala.
When: November 21st from 10 am to 1 pm
Who: Everyone who would like to encourage this amazing project!
