(Gr🇬🇷): Ο Δήμος Λάρνακας Κύπρου στο Ευρωπαϊκό μουσείο Άρτου.
Εθιμοτυπική επίσκεψη του Δήμου Λιβαδίων Λάρνακας της Κύπρου πραγματοποιήθηκε στο Ευρωπαϊκό μουσείο Άρτου. Στην αποστολή συμμετείχαν ο Αντιδήμαρχος Λιβαδίων Λάρνακας Μάριος Αρμένης, ο Γραμματέας του Δήμου Ανδρέας Λουκάς και ο υπεύθυνος ανακύκλωσης & καθαριότητας κ. Ηλίας Ηλία, συνέχεια της αδερφοποίησης που έλαβε χώρα στο Μουσείο Άρτου στον Βαρνάβα Αττικής τον Ιούνιο του 2017 και τον Μάιο του 2018 στο Μουσείο Μνήμης Καλαμουργικής Λιβαδίων του Δήμου Λάρνακας. Η πρόεδρος και τα στελέχη του Μουσείου Άρτου παρέδωσαν στους επισκέπτες «κεντημένους άρτους» με προορισμό το Μουσείο Μνήμης Καλαμουργικής στην Κύπρο καθώς υπάρχει σε αυτό μόνιμη έκθεση «κεντημένων άρτων» του Ελλαδικού χώρου από το Ευρωπαϊκό μουσείο Άρτου Βαρνάβα δήμου Μαραθώνα. Κατά τη διάρκεια της επίσκεψης υπήρξε συνάντηση και με τον Αντιδήμαρχο Βαρνάβα -Γραμματικού του δήμου Μαραθώνα κ. Χρυσίνα Αναστάσιο όπου αντηλλάγησαν δώρα και βιβλία των δύο Δήμων.
Θυμίζουμε ότι το Μουσείο Μνήμης Καλαμουργικής του Δημοτικού Διαμερίσματος Λιβαδιών-Δήμου Λάρνακας μετά τις καταστροφικές πυρκαγιές στον Βαρνάβα Αττικής απέστειλε τον Σεπτέμβρη του 2024 είδη πρώτης ανάγκης στο Αδελφοποιημένο Μουσείο Άρτου για να διανεμηθούν σε οικογένειες με παιδιά. Από την πρώτη μέρα των πυρκαγιών η τηλεφωνική επικοινωνία μεταξύ Αντιδημάρχου Λιβαδιών Λάρνακα κ. Μάριου Αρμένη και κας Μηλέας Παππά προέδρου του Μουσείου, ήταν συχνή και ενημερωτική σχετικά με τις καταστροφές που έγιναν στην καταπράσινη περιοχή όπου σπίτια και περιουσίες χάθηκαν. Την παραλαβή και διανομή είχε αναλάβει το Διοικητικό Συμβούλιο, εργαζόμενοι και εθελοντές του Μουσείου Άρτου.
Έκτοτε οι αδελφικοί δεσμοί μεταξύ των δύο Μουσείων και των δύο Δήμων συνεχίζονται μέχρι και σήμερα και θα συνεχιστούν.
(En🇬🇧): The Municipality of Larnaca, Cyprus at the European Bread Museum!
A courtesy visit by the Municipality of Larnaca, Cyprus, took place at the European Bread Museum. The delegation included Deputy Mayor Marios Armenis, Municipal Secretary Andreas Loukas, and the Head of Recycling & Cleanliness, Mr. Ilias Ilia. This visit was a continuation of the twinning established at the Bread Museum in Varnavas, Attica, in June 2017, and later in May 2018 at the Kalammourgiki Memory Museum in Livadia, Municipality of Larnaca.
The President and staff of the Bread Museum presented the visitors with “embroidered breads,” which are destined for the Kalammourgiki Memory Museum in Cyprus, where a permanent exhibition of embroidered breads from Greece—provided by the European Bread Museum of Varnavas, Municipality of Marathon—is hosted.
During the visit, a meeting was also held with the Deputy Mayor of Varnavas–Grammatiko of the Municipality of Marathon, Mr. Chrysina Anastasios, during which gifts and books were exchanged between the two municipalities.
It is worth noting that the Kalammourgiki Memory Museum of the Livadia Municipal District (Municipality of Larnaca), following the devastating wildfires in Varnavas, Attica, sent essential supplies in September 2024 to the twinned Bread Museum, to be distributed to families with children.
From the very first days of the fires, there was frequent and informative telephone communication between the Deputy Mayor of Livadia, Larnaca, Mr. Marios Armenis, and Ms. Milea Pappa, President of the Museum, regarding the destruction in the once lush green area where homes and properties were lost.
The receipt and distribution of the supplies were undertaken by the Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers of the Bread Museum.
Since then, the fraternal bonds between the two Museums and the two Municipalities have continued to this day and will carry on into the future.
