🌍✨ Day 4: From Ideas to Action

The fourth day of the “Youth Participation, Civic Engagement and Community Action” training in Palić, Serbia was dedicated to transforming ideas into concrete initiatives that can create a positive impact in local communities. 🇪🇺

💡 The day began with the Civic Innovation Lab, where participants worked in international teams to design creative and sustainable solutions for challenges faced by young people in their communities.

📋 During the Project Development Workshop, participants explored the key elements of successful project planning, learning how to transform ideas into realistic initiatives with clear objectives, activities, and expected outcomes.

🎤 In the afternoon, participants presented their concepts during the Civic Action Marketplace, exchanging ideas, receiving feedback, and inspiring one another through innovative approaches to civic engagement and youth participation.

🏅 The training concluded with the evaluation session, where participants reflected on their learning journey, shared their achievements, and celebrated the knowledge and skills they had gained throughout the week. The programme officially ended with the certificate ceremony, recognizing their commitment and active participation.

🎉 The final evening was marked by a memorable Farewell & Intercultural Evening, celebrating the friendships, partnerships, and cultural diversity that made this training a truly unforgettable experience.

Day 3: Strengthening Youth Participation Through Action

The third day of the “Youth Participation, Civic Engagement and Community Action” training in Palić, Serbia focused on equipping participants with practical tools to increase youth participation and create meaningful change in their communities. 🇪🇺✨

🧩 The day began with a Participatory Methods Workshop, where participants explored interactive approaches and non-formal education tools that support active youth engagement in community and democratic processes.

📱 The learning continued with a session on Digital Civic Engagement, focusing on how social media and digital platforms can be used to raise awareness, mobilize communities, and promote civic activism. Participants also discussed risks and challenges of online engagement and shared examples from their countries.

🗳️ In the afternoon, participants joined a Participatory Decision-Making Simulation, where they experienced real-life dynamics of dialogue, negotiation, and consensus-building within diverse international groups.

💡 The day concluded with a Problem-Solving Lab, where participants worked together to identify community challenges and design innovative, youth-led solutions applicable to their local contexts.

💬 As every day, reflection groups provided space for participants to exchange insights, evaluate learning outcomes, and connect experiences from the sessions.

🌍🤝 Day 2: Understanding Power, Participation & Advocacy

The second day of the “Youth Participation, Civic Engagement and Community Action” training in Palić, Serbia focused on how democratic systems function and how young people can actively influence decision-making processes. 🇪🇺✨

🧭 The morning session explored democratic systems and civic structures, helping participants better understand how institutions work and how decisions are made at different levels.

📊 Through the Power Mapping exercise, participants identified key actors in their communities and analyzed who holds influence and how decisions are shaped in practice.

📈 In the afternoon, the group worked on the Civic Participation Ladder, moving from awareness to action and discussing how young people can progress from passive observers to active change-makers.

🗣️ The day continued with Advocacy Strategies for Young People, where participants developed practical tools for influencing policies, raising their voices, and creating impact in their communities.

🎉 In the evening, participants enjoyed a relaxed social program with a Night Out, strengthening intercultural friendships and connections beyond the training space.

☕ A special highlight of the day was the traditional Mug Exchange, where participants shared mugs from their countries as a symbol of culture, connection, and friendship.

🌍🤝 Day 1: Building a Civic Community

The first working day of the “Youth Participation, Civic Engagement and Community Action” training in Palić, Serbia gathered participants from nearly 20 European countries for a week of learning, cooperation, and active citizenship. 🇪🇺

The day started with energizers and group-building activities, helping participants connect, break the ice, and establish a safe and positive learning environment. ⚡

In the Trust & Cooperation Lab, participants worked in teams through cooperative games and challenges, focusing on communication, trust, and problem-solving skills essential for civic engagement. 🤝

The afternoon featured the Community Exploration Challenge, an interactive civic mission game where participants identified community issues and worked together on practical solutions. 🧭

This was followed by a stakeholder negotiation role-play (Citizens vs Institutions), where participants practiced dialogue, explored different perspectives, and learned how decision-making processes work in practice. 🗣️

The day ended with reflection groups, where participants shared key takeaways and learning experiences, strengthening understanding through group discussion. 💬

Finally, the group closed the day with a relaxed Board Games Night, building friendships and informal connections across cultures. 🎲

A strong civic community starts with trust, dialogue, and cooperation—and this was the foundation built today. 💙

🇷🇸 A NEW TUNE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IS HERE! 🎉

This summer, Palić, Serbia, will bring together young people from across the region through the TUNE International Training, taking place from 30 June to 5 July 2026.

✨ Over five days, participants will have the opportunity to meet peers from different countries, develop new skills, exchange ideas, and design activities that they will later implement in their local communities. The training is aimed at motivated young people who want to make a difference and remain actively involved in the TUNE Network.

TUNE Network launches its 2026 activities

🌍The TUNE Network officially started its activities for 2026 with an online Kick-Off Meeting held on April 1st, bringing together member organisations from across Europe. The meeting marked the beginning of the new workplan, following the approval of the SGA and the confirmation of EU co-funding for this year.

Participants revisited the network’s vision of building a fair and sustainable future in the digital environment, as well as its mission to strengthen democratic values and youth participation across Europe.

🎙During the meeting, the newly elected Coordination Board was presented. The Board will guide the network’s work in 2026 and support stronger cooperation, transparency, and communication among member organisations.

The workplan for the year includes online training for youth workers and project managers, as well as an international training for young people. These activities will lead to the creation of a Youth Committee and three thematic Working Groups that will contribute to campaigns, youth consultations, and the overall development of the network.

Member organisations will also organise local activities and youth-led initiatives, encouraging young people to take a more active role in their communities. A digital campaign focused on youth participation is also planned, aiming to reach at least 20,000 young people across Europe.

With a clear plan and active involvement of its members, the TUNE Network is entering 2026 ready to continue strengthening youth participation and cooperation across Europe. 🌍

🎉 TUNE Coordination Board 2026 – Election Results

We are pleased to announce the results of the TUNE Coordination Board elections for 2026.

Based on the votes of TUNE member organisations, the Coordination Board will consist of:
- Dominik Minarik – Youth for Youth
- Veljko Avramovic – Development Center for Youth
- Ifigenia Katchie – Social Policy and Action Organisation
- Alexia Anastasiadi from USB will undertake the role of Treasurer.

We would like to thank all candidates and member organisations for their engagement, participation in the voting process, and continued contribution to the growth of the TUNE network.
