HACK Training Course – Seminar in Niš, Serbia 🇷🇸

A great learning experience took place in Niš, Serbia, on 7-8 October 2026, bringing together six young athletes from Greece and Germany for an intensive training course focused on sport, non-formal education and innovative learning methods.

Through hands-on activities, teamwork and reflection, participants explored new ways of connecting sport and non-formal education. 🤝🏀

The training also gave the young athletes the opportunity to develop new skills and take on responsibilities as Sport Graduates, contributing to the further use and dissemination of the tools developed throughout the project.

A big thank you to OKK Junior Basketball Club for the warm hospitality, excellent organisation and welcoming atmosphere! ❤️ Your support made this experience even more special for all participants and partners.

We are taking home new tools, new experiences and, most importantly, new connections through sport! 🌍🏀

On Saturday, 26 September, we took part in DEMOFEST 2026 at Aristotelous Square, in the heart of Thessaloniki. The event brought together civil society organisations, institutions, educators and active citizens in an open space for dialogue and participation.
During the festival, we had the opportunity to present our work and introduce BeeLieve – European Centres of Vocational Excellence in Apiculture to the public.

We would like to thank DEMOFEST 2026 for the invitation and for creating such a meaningful space for exchange, as well as everyone who visited our stand.

🌿🎭 Theatre for Tomorrow: Dramatizing Eco-Consciousness

The Green Visionary Artistry – A Tapestry of Environmental Expression project continued its creative journey with Event 7: “Theatre for Tomorrow – Dramatizing Eco-Consciousness,” held on 12–13 September 2026 in Siena, Italy.

Over two inspiring days, theatre became a powerful tool for exploring environmental awareness, sustainability and environmental justice. Through drama workshops, environmental justice debates and environmental theatre activities, participants from Greece, Italy, Cyprus, Lithuania, Hungary, Portugal, Slovenia and Spain used creativity, performance and storytelling to reflect on today’s environmental challenges and imagine more sustainable futures.

The event created a space for expression, collaboration and critical reflection, empowering participants to share their perspectives and explore how art can inspire positive environmental and social change.

In the unique setting of Siena, creativity and environmental consciousness came together, reinforcing the central message of Green Visionary Artistry: art can foster dialogue, inspire action and contribute to a greener future for all.

A wonderful experience of art, collaboration and eco-consciousness!

Are we really just consumers of digital content? 📱
Every day, we scroll, watch, like, share and comment.
But the digital world is not only a place where young people consume information and culture. It has also become a space where they create, remix, reinterpret and communicate, often in ways that traditional spaces do not easily allow.

In the EU, around 97% of young people use the internet every day, while social media is a major source of information for young people.

And research by UNICEF shows that young people are already using videos, memes, artwork and other forms of digital content to express ideas, develop their civic identities and claim agency through creative expression.

But there is an important difference between having access to digital tools and knowing how to use them to create something meaningful.

Digital creation requires more than knowing how to post.
It involves digital skills, critical thinking, communication, storytelling and the ability to turn an idea into content that reaches and engages others.

So maybe the question is not:
“What are young people consuming online?”
But:
“What could they create if they had the right skills and tools?”
🎨 From scrolling to creating.
From consuming stories to shaping them.
From being an audience to becoming a voice.
That is part of the digital dimension of DELARTE.

Digital democracy starts with informed and engaged citizens!

On 28 August 2026, Fifty-Fifty hosted the Online Digital Democracy Lab I within the framework of the DELIBERATE project – Democracy, Engagement & Literacy to Build Inclusive European Representation and Trust in Elections.

The online session brought digital democracy into focus through an engaging exchange on some of the issues shaping civic participation in Europe today. 🇪🇺

During the Lab, we explored:
- the opportunities and challenges of digital democracy and civic participation in the EU
- digital rights, freedom of expression and the role of online platforms in democratic engagement
- practical ways of recognising and responding to online disinformation
- the importance of critical thinking and verifying online content

Participants also had the opportunity to share their perspectives through an open discussion on digital citizenship, misinformation and civic engagement, followed by a Q&A session.

A big thank you to everyone who joined the conversation and contributed their ideas and perspectives.

🌍 FUTURENTITY: Exploring AI, Identity & the Future of European Democracy

On 23–25 August, Social Innovation and Cohesion Institute - Fifty-Fifty had the pleasure of hosting “Seminar-Lab Circle I – AI & Identity on Citizens’ Knowledge”, the first in-person activity of the FUTURENTITY project!
Over three inspiring days, 86 participants from all 8 consortium countries came together to explore how Artificial Intelligence is changing the way we understand identity, democracy, civic participation, and our European future.
Through interactive dialogue sessions, participants shared their perspectives, questions, concerns, and expectations around:
🤖 AI and its impact on democratic life
🇪🇺 European values and identity
🗳️ Civic engagement in the digital age
🌐 Digital citizenship and inclusion
🔮 The future of Europe in an AI-driven society
The discussions were complemented by creative and participatory workshops, where participants explored identity in digital Europe, reflected on their own digital experiences, and imagined what a more human-centred digital future could look like.
What made the event particularly meaningful was the diversity of voices in the room. Participants from different generations, countries, backgrounds, and experiences brought different perspectives to the conversation, reminding us that the future of Europe cannot be designed without its citizens.
As the first in-person activity of FUTURENTITY, the Seminar-Lab Circle I set the tone for the work ahead: more dialogue, more citizen participation, more cross-border exchange, and more opportunities to shape the Europe we want to live in.
The future of Europe is digital. But it must remain human. And it must be shaped together. 🇪🇺🤝
