International Women's Club - Skiathos IWC - Skiathos, Greece - est. 1989 Since 1989 the club has evolved, as has Skiathos, our second home. As the demands to the island have grown, so have we.

Our original homes cover all the corners of the world – past & present members have come to Skiathos from Germany, Holland, Australia, England, Ireland, Scotland, South Africa, America, Mauritius, Switzerland, Zimbabwe, France, Austria, Poland ....
The club originated with a core group of 'ξένες' (foreign women) who knitted (sometimes literally!) their customs, knowledge & languages into each oth

er's lives & shared this cornucopia with their new Greek neighbours. In those early days, the club was a support-group for young mothers struggling with the language & the island life.
