𝐖𝐄𝐀𝐕𝐄 | 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤
From 18 to 24 April, youth workers and educators from across Europe came together in the beautiful rural setting of Ponticello, Lunigiana, Italy, for the training course “WEAVE – Building shared methods for inclusive community youth work”.
Building on the experience of previous mobilities focused on sustainability, belonging, inclusion and democratic participation, WEAVE created a space for participants to exchange practices, reflect on their work and co-create methods that can be adapted to different local communities.
🌱 Here are the core pillars and topics explored during the training:
Inclusion & Participation: Exploring how to create more welcoming, accessible and meaningful spaces where young people, especially those with fewer opportunities, can actively participate.
Community & Belonging: Looking at ways youth work can connect young people with their local communities, strengthen their sense of belonging and encourage active citizenship.
Methods & Facilitation: Sharing tools, facilitation practices and non-formal education approaches through workshops, peer learning and collaborative design.
Learning by Experience: Connecting the training with the local territory through community-based encounters, reflection, outdoor experiences and shared daily life.
