Winter highlights the Child Friendly Space!

From ✨ Magic ✨ weeks filled with slime and giant bubbles to puppet shows, teddy bear picnics, and dance parties, our days have been packed with creativity. 🫧🪄

We are happy to have hosted over 50 children on our busiest days this season! It’s been a wonderful and energetic winter of play and performance. 🧸

Last week in our arts and recreation program, we held our first tournament of the year! We had 30 teams sign up, and the atmosphere was full of excitement. 🎲

Dominoes has become the most popular game so far in 2026, bridging ages, genders, and cultures across our community.

Big congratulations to our winners, Peter and Mudather, for taking home the trophy and to all for filling the day with laughs and good vibes! ! 🏆

Through color, craft, and care, this series reflects confidence, pride, and creative expression.

As 2025 comes to an end, we want to pause and celebrate our incredible community.

This year brought its share of challenges, but through it all we came together, supporting one another and finding joy, connection, and exploration along the way.

So many people have come and gone, each leaving a meaningful mark on our center through teaching, launching new initiatives, showing leadership and care, and serving as positive role models for one another.

In 2025, we launched LHI’s first Book Club, shared food and culture, danced a lot, opened a weekly medical clinic in partnership with the wonderful , put on puppet shows in the children’s friendly space, supported a thriving barbershop, and so much more.

We are truly grateful for each and every one of you. Wishing for a year filled with respect and care for humanity in 2026.

In October we welcomed back Changing Stories, an incredible group of performers who use play to cultivate imaginative joy for children on the move.

The children at our center loved being silly and creative with the clowns, and our team were inspired by a training on clowning given by the Changing Stories team.
