H Active YOUrope είναι μία άτυπη ομάδα νέων, η οποία εδρεύει στο Ρέθυμνο της Κρήτης και δραστηριοποιείται σε τοπικό, εθνικό και διεθνές επίπεδο. Η ιδέα για τη δημιουργία της ομάδας γεννήθηκε όταν με έκπληξη διαπιστώσαμε την εξής αντίφαση: παρόλο που το πρόγραμμα Erasmus + παρέχει πολυάριθμες και ενδιαφέρουσες ευκαιρίες για την κινητικότητα των νέων (με ελάχιστο κόστος για τους ίδιους), δυστυχώς δε
ν υπάρχει επαρκής ενημέρωση με αποτέλεσμα οι ευκαιρίες αυτές να μην αξιοποιούνται. Επιθυμία μας είναι η ενημέρωση και η ενίσχυση της ενεργής συμμετοχής της νεολαίας στις δράσεις του προγράμματος ERASMUS + ,καθώς και σε ποικίλες (πολιτιστικές, οικολογικές, κοινωνικές κ.α.) τοπικές δράσεις. Active YOUrope is an informal group of young people, based in Rethymno of Crete and is active at local, national and international level. The idea for the creation of the group was born when we were surprisingly confronted with the following contradiction: although the Erasmus Plus program promotes the mobility of young people (the cost for them is really low), unfortunately there is no adequate information and as a result such opportunities are not exploited. We would like to inform youths and reinforce their active participation in ERASMUS + and in various (cultural, ecological, social, etc.) local actions. The scope of our interests includes the preparation, support and sending of young people and youth workers in the following approved and co-funded by the European Union activities:
- Youth exchanges: This program enables young people (13-30 years old) from different countries to meet, live together and s jointly carry out a work programme (a mix of workshops, exercises, debates, role-plays, simulations, outdoor activities, etc.) designed and prepared by them before the Exchange. During a youth exchange, participants develop an intercultural dialogue on important youth issues, discover new cultures, habits and life-styles and strengthen values like solidarity, democracy, respect and friendship.
-Training courses: They support the training and networking of youth workers, mainly through the exchange of experience and good practices, through the development and implementation of European cooperation and through actions which can lead to long-lasting quality projects and partnerships. Lastly, Active YOUrope deals with the organization of youth exchanges and training courses in Greece in order to reinforce intercultural contact and communication between young Europeans through the use of differentiated methods, experiential and non-formal learning. We aim to connect local cultural change-makers and communities across Europe and to promote a positive socio-cultural change.
