📢 Calling all educators! Join our end-of-year focus-groups and get the “Everywhere, All The Time” educational resources to spark conversation about AI.

In a 60-minute online session, you’ll have the opportunity to share your experiences and help us assess how educational initiatives, programs, spaces and methodologies promote democratic values and practices.

💡 Who should join?
• Heads of organisations or departments (schools, libraries, youth centres, cultural spaces) responsible for youth-focused educational initiatives
• Lead educators designing or managing learning programs for young people (ages 11–18)

Overtourism is one of the greatest pressures on small islands today. Under strain from mass arrivals, natural resources, waste management, and social fabric all suffer. At Island Commons, we are exploring governance models and community-led stewardship that balance tourism with sustainable local life. How can island communities reclaim autonomy over their land, sea, and public commons — so that visitors enrich rather than exhaust island life? By mapping and tracing these routes, we uncover stories of hydrology, settlement, and environmental change. What waterways near you tell a story? How do small islands design public spaces in ways that are democratic, climate resilient, and locally meaningful? ParsProToTo supports participatory deliberation on public spaces in EU islands. We are looking at plazas, waterfronts, paths, gardens, informal meeting nodes — how they are shaped, who uses them, and how they can adapt to changing needs. Which public space in your island do you wish was designed differently — and how would you change it?

Every community has latent potential. CRATE stands for capacity building, resilience, adaptive transformation, and empowerment. With CRATE, we aim to help small islands build skills, networks, institutional strength, and adaptive strategies for sustainable change. We believe that true transformation comes from within — and that external support must respect local agency. What capacities do you believe are most urgent for island communities to develop now?

In many rural places, infrastructure is scarce. Could a sports hall double as an art gallery or performance venue? ArtApp is asking exactly that: is there room for hybrid cultural-sport spaces in areas without traditional infrastructure? A basketball court by day, and an open-air stage by night. Or a futsal pitch that hosts exhibits or media projections on off days. Have you seen or imagined a space like that — where sport and art coexist in surprising ways? Share an example or idea.
