our volunteer family of Cretan/ New Zealand blood run a donkey sanctuary on the remote & rugged South Coast of the Island of Crete.. dedicated to helping working, abandoned, sick and unwanted donkeys. No donkey will ever be turned away, each will be cared for and loved for the remainder of their life.. we also offer care our and support to
donkey owners in surrouding villages and their hard working often very neglected donkeys through our Outreach Team visits by Animal Action Greece with
farriers and dentist. also CARAT UK ..Caring for the Animals Trust for all their help towards feed and transport of donkeys.

Paskàlis and Mènios..2 of our donkey teenagers thought they might take a quick dip in the duck pond ...
but it started to be a bit cloudy after a warm day so they decided it was better to stay in the donkey field 😃

THERE IS NO ENTRANCE FEE BUT A DONATION OR A PURCHASE FROM OUR DONKEY SHOP TO HELP FEED OUR RESCUED DONKEYS IS NECESSARY.
