Attika is the NGO that runs the biggest warehouse in Greece for the distribution of aid to refugees, NGOs and to local communities in need. Attika Human Support was founded in 2015 on Lesvos, when the Greek islands became the frontline of a global humanitarian crisis and the first stop in Europe for thousands of people in need of safety and refuge. Since the beginning, the Attika family has been supported by volunteers and partners from all over the world. Attika operates the only individual SAR mission on the north coast of Lesvos. Attika runs a small housing project both on Lesvos and Athens. We are a non-government organisation, registered with the Greek Ministry of Finance and situated on the outskirts of Athens and in Mitilini. We believe in a world where every human should, at the very least, have access to basic needs regardless of race, religion, background or nationality.
