🐾❤️ WORLD ANIMAL DAY – 4 OCTOBER ❤️🐾
Today, on World Animal Day, we want to share a very special story about Gina. 🐶❤️
After everything she has been through, Gina has finally found her way to where she belongs — with her mum and dad. 🏡❤️ Seeing her happy, safe and loved is exactly what days like this are all about.
Every animal deserves kindness, safety and a family who loves them. And sometimes, the happiest ending is simply being back where your heart belongs. 🐾

Today we also want to send a very special get well soon to our friend Sallie. ❤️ We are thinking of you and wishing you a speedy recovery. We hope to see you back on your feet very soon! 🌸🐾

Happy World Animal Day from all of us at Little Friends Lefkas — and from Gina, who is finally home. ❤️🐶

💕 A Little Friends Update 💕

I just wanted to give everyone a little update on my situation.

As many of you know, I have acute leukaemia and I am currently in hospital, where I will remain until my condition is under control. It is a difficult time, but I want everyone to know that Little Friends and the dog shelter are in the most amazing hands.

My incredible volunteers have stepped up in every possible way. They have given up so much of their own private time and lives to help, not only with the shelter and the dogs, but also at my home and with the puppies. I honestly cannot thank them enough. ❤️

I know there are puppies on the island who need rescuing, and it breaks my heart that I am not in a position to take them at the moment. But please be assured — Little Friends is not stopping and it is not changing. We will continue doing everything we can.

I will also continue with our fundraising. We are planning a tabletop sale, although we don’t have a date or details just yet. I will let everyone know as soon as we do.

So, friends, please just hang in there with us. ❤️ I am determined to get through this, and hopefully, when I am able, I will be back on my feet and sorting everything out again.

Thank you all for your love, support, donations and understanding. And a very special thank you to my amazing volunteers — you are truly incredible. ❤️🐾

Love,
Sallie

Yesterday, we had the chance to help a family whose boat caught fire, leaving them without clothes and without the things they needed.
Our friends have always supported us by donating clothes for our fundraising events, and yesterday those donations were able to help someone in real need. ❤️ We gave the family clothes, and of course, we could not forget their little four-legged babies. 🐾 We also provided food for their dogs.

In difficult moments, sometimes a little help can mean so much.
Thank you to everyone who supports us and donates to our events. Because of you, we can be there not only for animals, but also for people who suddenly find themselves in a very difficult situation. ❤️🐾
Together, we can make a difference.

🐾 Please help the street animals!

In this video, you can see ticks hanging from the ears of some of the many street animals we care for. 💔 They urgently need tick treatment.

We receive no help from anywhere — we can only care for these animals through your donations. 🙏

Please donate if you can. Even a small amount can help us buy tick tablets and protect these animals from suffering. ❤️🐾
Every little donation helps us provide the care and support they deserve. If you're able to contribute, here’s how:
