Welcome September!

A new month. A new season. New threads waiting to be woven. 🍂

As September begins, we step into a new season at Creative Hands with grateful hearts and hopeful expectation.

The changing seasons remind us that growth often means embracing something new—new ideas, new skills, new relationships, and sometimes even new beginnings we couldn't have planned for ourselves.

At the looms, we’ll keep creating. Around the table, we’ll keep building community. And through it all, we’ll continue working towards what lies at the heart of Creative Hands: empowering women through creativity, meaningful work, dignity, and hope.

We are excited about what the months ahead may hold, and we can't wait to share more with you.

Καλώς ήρθες, Σεπτέμβρη

Νέος μήνας. Νέα εποχή. Νέες κλωστές περιμένουν να υφανθούν. 🍂🧵

Ο Σεπτέμβριος ξεκινά και μαζί του μπαίνουμε σε μια νέα περίοδο στο Creative Hands, με καρδιές γεμάτες ευγνωμοσύνη και προσμονή για όσα έρχονται.

Η αλλαγή των εποχών μάς θυμίζει ότι η εξέλιξη συχνά σημαίνει να αγκαλιάζουμε το καινούριο — νέες ιδέες, νέες δεξιότητες, νέες σχέσεις και, κάποιες φορές, νέα ξεκινήματα που δεν θα μπορούσαμε να είχαμε σχεδιάσει μόνοι μας.

Στους αργαλειούς μας θα συνεχίσουμε να δημιουργούμε. Γύρω από το τραπέζι μας θα συνεχίσουμε να χτίζουμε κοινότητα. Και μέσα από όλα αυτά, θα συνεχίσουμε να υπηρετούμε τον σκοπό που βρίσκεται στην καρδιά του Creative Hands: την ενδυνάμωση των γυναικών μέσα από τη δημιουργικότητα, την αξιοπρεπή εργασία και την ελπίδα.

Ανυπομονούμε να δούμε τι θα φέρουν οι επόμενοι μήνες και να μοιραστούμε μαζί σας όλα όσα ετοιμάζονται.

Ας δούμε τι θα υφάνει ο Θεός αυτό το φθινόπωρο.

As Summer Comes to an End, a New Season Begins…

Summer is slowly drawing to a close, and at Creative Hands we are looking ahead with grateful hearts and a sense of anticipation for everything the new season may bring.

The past months have been filled with creativity, new patterns, beautiful handmade pieces, shared moments, and opportunities to grow together. But as every weaver knows, finishing one pattern simply makes space for the next. 🧵

This autumn, we are looking forward to new ideas, more opportunities to create together—and, most importantly, continuing our mission of empowering women through the art of weaving.

We may not know exactly what every new thread will bring, but we trust the One who is weaving the bigger picture. 🤍

🧵 WEAVING TIP OF THE WEEK

Beautiful weaving is often about the little details — and today we're talking about selvedges, the edges of your woven piece.

One of the most common challenges when learning to weave is keeping those edges straight and consistent. The secret? Don't pull your weft too tightly at the sides. Give the yarn a little room before beating it into place and keep checking your edges as your work grows.

And, as with so many things we learn at Creative Hands: be patient with yourself.

Every row is practice. Every mistake teaches us something. And slowly, thread by thread, our hands learn.

That's part of what we love about weaving — there's always something new to discover.

Μια νέα εβδομάδα ξεκινά, μία κλωστή τη φορά. 🧵

Η Δευτέρα μάς θυμίζει ότι δεν χρειάζεται να έχουμε όλες τις απαντήσεις πριν κάνουμε μια νέα αρχή. Μερικές φορές, αρκεί να κάνουμε το πρώτο βήμα, να εμπιστευτούμε στον Θεό όσα βρίσκονται μπροστά μας και να Του επιτρέψουμε να δημιουργήσει κάτι όμορφο μέσα από το έργο μας.

Στα Χέρια Δημιουργίας μια νέα εβδομάδα σημαίνει νέες σειρές στον αργαλειό, νέες ιδέες, όμορφες συζητήσεις στο εργαστήριο και ακόμη μία ευκαιρία να μάθουμε, να δημιουργήσουμε και να εξελιχθούμε μαζί.

Ό,τι κι αν φέρει αυτή η εβδομάδα, ευχόμαστε να την υποδεχθείτε με πίστη, θάρρος και δημιουργικότητα.
