Our team from the University of Western Macedonia - Πανεπιστήμιο Δυτικής Μακεδονίας (UOWM) was thrilled to join the technical consortium for the 1st Technical Meeting: Road to MVP in Thessaloniki. It was a highly productive three days where all partners aligned on the core engineering components required to launch the first end-to-end Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for the project.

Key focus areas included:
• The maDMP Foundation: Defining the machine-actionable Data Management Plan (maDMP) schema, establishing the foundational baseline that coordinates metadata, data quality, and compliance across the platform.
• Edge-to-Node Streaming: Integrating edge-side metadata, Quality of Data (QoD), and anonymization services directly into the core workflow.
• Secure Architecture: Building out robust authentication, authorization, and access control flows for seamless, secure data ingestion.

UOWM team participated in all technical sessions by providing feedback and contributing to the realization of MVP emphasizing on IoT data streaming. This collaborative push brings us one step closer to delivering an advanced decentralized ecosystem for open science. Stay tuned as the latest infrastructure developments go live! 💻✨

🙏 We would like to express our sincere thanks to our host, the Πανεπιστήμιο Μακεδονίας University of Macedonia (UOM) for flawlessly organizing the event and for their excellent hospitality in their labs, and to the project coordinator, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), for fostering a collaborative and productive environment. It was a pleasure taking part in this technical meeting where many fruitful discussions took place, paving the way to an early release of features for RAISE Suit💡

🚀 The ITHACA Laboratory of the University of Western Macedonia is proud to be a partner in the newly launched RAISE Suite Project!

The RAISE Suite (Research Analysis and Interoperability Support Environment) officially kicked off in Thessaloniki, Greece, on the 14th and 15th of October, marking the start of an exciting Horizon Europe initiative that aims to strengthen the European Open Science ecosystem.

The project brings together a dynamic consortium of universities, research centres, and organisations dedicated to developing interoperable, community-driven tools that promote FAIR data, Open Science, and research transparency across Europe.

As part of this collaboration, the ITHACA Lab (UOWM) will contribute its expertise in data management, AI-driven analysis, and digital governance, supporting the creation of innovative tools that empower researchers, institutions, and public administrations.

✨ We are thrilled to embark on this journey alongside our RAISE Suite partners, working together toward a more open, connected, and data-driven research future.
