Σε συνεργασία με τον εταίρο μας από το Βερολίνο, νέοι και νέες από την Ελλάδα και τη Γερμανία συναντήθηκαν στο Κρυονέρι Κορινθίας (1-7 Αυγούστου 2025) και στο Βερολίνο (20-26 Οκτωβρίου 2025) για δύο δυναμικές εβδομάδες γεμάτες αθλητισμό, διάλογο και σύνδεση 🌍⚽

Στο 1ο μέρος στο Κρυονέρι μέσω ice breaking παιχνιδιών γνωριστήκαμε μεταξύ μας, συμμετείχαμε σε Workshop και ήρθαμε σε επαφή με τους ορισμούς στερεότυπα, προκαταλήψεις και διακρίσεις σε σχέση με τα αθλήματα, αναζητήσαμε περιστατικά στο κόσμο του αθλητισμού στα οποια νικήθηκαν με επιτυχία φαινόμενα διακρίσεων και παίξαμε beach volley, ποδόσφαιρο και μπάσκετ!

Στο 2ο μέρος στο Βερολίνο γνωρίσαμε την πόλη του Βερολίνου, επισκεφτήκαμε το Ολυμπιακό στάδιο, είχαμε την ευκαιρία να δημιουργήσουμε το δικό μας άθλημα και να ερευνήσουμε πως μπορεί το outing (η αποκάλυψη του σεξουαλικού προσανατολισμού / ταυτότητας φύλου ενός ατόμου χωρίς την συγκατάθεση του) να στιγματίσει κάποιον/α αθλητή/αθλήτρια μελετώντας πραγματικά περιστατικά. Επίσης είχαμε την ευκαιρία να κάνουμε αναρρίχηση και να παίξουμε μπάσκετ και ποδόσφαιρο!

During the 10-17th of August 2025 (Wiesbaden, Germany) and 02-09th of October 2025 (Kryoneri Korinthias, Greece), and brought together young women from Germany and Greece for a 2-week youth exchange! This time the title was “Girls Across Borders: Visions for Tomorrow”, where we explored what feminism truly means.🌸

Throughout the program we had workshops about fundamental human rights (education, equality, safety, freedom, respect). We also talked about everyday discriminations based on gender, and the deeply rooted ideas that society still supports in 2025. We celebrated the stories of important women, from the past and present, who shaped history, fought for rights, and opened paths we now walk on. We reflected on how awareness becomes strength, and how strength becomes action.✊🏽

We had workshops based on self-care and empowerment, understanding our needs, listening to our bodies, and learning to set boundaries without guilt. We reminded ourselves that we are enough, exactly as we are. And that together we are stronger. 💖

After our empowerment workshop, we had a photo session with a professional photographer to capture our confidence and strength, as a reminder for the future. 📸

The two weeks were filled with creativity, movement, and discovery. We tried new sports like skateboarding, muay thai (self-defence), canoeing, stand-up paddle, learned the method Stockkampf and explored body percussion, feeling how powerful our bodies can be when they express themselves freely. We visited a sensory museum, practiced graffiti sketching, hiked, swam, cooked, and made our own lip balms and deodorants! 🥊🥁🎨🛶

Somewhere between the workshops, the laughters, the courage, and the shared moments, we understood that feminism matters. It’s not a trend. It’s a necessity.
A voice.
A movement.
A promise for a better world. ✨

Συγχρηματοδοτούμενο πρόγραμμα από το Erasmus+ 🇪🇺

During July 2025 Filoxenia together with Kleiner Muck e.V. created the 2-weeks youth exchange “Diversity Connects: Pathways to Solidarity”. There, young people from Germany and Greece explored the power of embracing diversity, within themselves and around them. 💛

We learned to connect more deeply with our inner selves, to love who we are, and to accept and appreciate the person standing next to us. We are all different and unique, and that’s what makes us human beings. 🌈

Throughout the first part of the exchange in Bonn between the 13-19 of July, we discussed social stereotypes, discrimination, and marginalization, and how they affect people in everyday life. One of the most powerful moments was a city tour in Bonn guided by Melanie. She is a homeless woman who shared her personal story of life on the streets. Her honesty opened our eyes to how society often ignores, judges, or mistreats those most in need of empathy and support. 💬

We also had the chance to visit a synagogue in Cologne and then have an empowering talk with about the situation for Palestinians and Jews in Germany right now.

Between the 23-29 of July, during the second part of our exchange in Kryoneri, we explored self-care, realizing how important it is to listen to ourselves, body and mind, and to treat our inner world with kindness. 💆🏽‍♀️

Finally, we reflected on allyship, exploring how everyday inequalities and power dynamics shape our world, and how we can stand together to challenge them. ✊🏽

One of our activities was to hike around Kryonweri towards a memorable cave, a bit outside of the village on the mountains. There we learned about the village’s history of deep empathy, care, support and inclusion of a Jewish family during WW2. A true act of courage and humanity that still inspires us today. ⛰️

All along, somewhere in between deep talks, creativity, games, laughters and workshops, we were moving step by step towards our target; to discover that diversity isn’t something to tolerate, it’s something to celebrate. 🫂

Last week, Filoxenia had the pleasure to take part in the 40th Annual Platform Network General Meeting, held from 20–24 October 2025 in the beautiful mountain village of Malbun, Liechtenstein 🇱🇮.

This year’s meeting, under the theme “FROM OKAY TO SLAY: Pathways to high-quality international youth projects”, brought together 40 youth workers from across Europe to connect, reflect, and co-create.

We explored how to make our international projects even more impactful — by improving quality, strengthening cooperation, and developing new partnerships. Together, we looked back on the achievements of the past year, exchanged best practices, visited a local youth centre, and even planned new online workshops and future initiatives. 🌍✨

In addition to this, we are proud to share that Filoxenia has been a member of the Platform Network since 2007, sharing and respecting the same values in youth work. Through this inspiring network, we have been supporting and learning from each other for many years, growing together as one big youth workers family. 💙

We are grateful for the inspiration, the friendships, and the shared vision for empowering young people.
Here’s to many more meaningful projects ahead! 🚀

OPEN CALL - TRAINING COURSE “Food for Thought”🍴🌱

"Youthcracy" (18–27.7.2025), youth exchange in Belgium
Between July 18–27, six young people from Greece took part in the "Youthcracy" youth exchange program, which took place at the Loryhan Youth Center in the Belgian Ardennes.

The Youthcracy program was a very interesting experience for all participants. It was a simulation of a democratic society that unfolded within the small community of participants in the program. Through this program, many people understood how our society works, because things that actually happen in our everyday lives were also happening within the simulation.
It was a very pleasant environment and, beyond the educational nature of the program, participants also had fun. The fact that there were many people from different countries was very important for the exchange of opinions and cultures. It was a very enjoyable and interesting experience, and every participant came out enriched, as they now have a better understanding of how the mechanisms of democracy and society function.
The simulation worked as follows: every 2–3 days elections were held, and parties created by the participants had the opportunity to present activities they had planned to carry out if their party won. These activities could be excursions, such as the trip to Brussels on the second-to-last day, or games like treasure hunts, or even parties!
The program also had a constitution, meaning the basic rules. The party that was in government at the time could change it with the approval of the president. If someone acted against the constitution, then a trial would take place. Judges were chosen by the president. There was also a media team and a police force, both appointed by each government.
This program gave participants a lot of freedom thanks to these mechanisms.

Στο διάστημα 18 - 27 Ιουλίου 6 νέοι απο την Ελλάδα συμμετείχαν στο πρόγραμμα "Youthcracy" που έλαβε χωρα στο κέντρο νέων Loryhan στις Βελγικές Αρδέννες. Διαβάστε τις ετνυπώσεις της :
Το πρόγραμμα youthcracy ήταν μια πολύ ενδιαφέρουσα εμπειρία για όλους τους συμμετέχοντες. Ήταν μια προσομοίωση δημοκρατικής κοινωνίας που συνέβαινε μέσα στη μικρή κοινότητα συμμετεχόντων του προγράμματος. Σε αυτό το πρόγραμμα πολλοί άνθρωποι κατάλαβαν πως δουλεύει η κοινωνία μας, γιατί όντως πράγματα που γίνονται στην καθημερινότητά μας συνέβαιναν και μέσα στην προσομοίωση. Ήταν ένα πολύ ωραίο περιβάλλον και, πέρα από τη διδακτική φύση του προγράμματος, οι συμμετέχοντες διασκέδασαν επίσης. Το γεγονός πως υπήρχαν πολλοί άνθρωποι από διάφορες χώρες ήταν πολύ σημαντικό για την ανταλλαγή απόψεων και κουλτούρας. Ήταν μια πολύ ευχάριστη και ενδιαφέρουσα εμπειρία και ο καθένας συμμετέχοντας βγήκε κερδισμένος, διότι πλέον έχει μια καλύτερη αντίληψη για το πώς δουλεύουν οι μηχανισμοί της δημοκρατίας και της κοινωνίας. Η προσομοίωση λειτουργούσε ως εξής, ανά 2-3 μέρες γίνονταν εκλογές και κόμματα που είχαν δημιουργηθεί από τους συμμετέχοντες είχαν την ευκαιρία να παρουσιάσουν δραστηριότητες που είχαν σκεφτεί να κάνουν αν το κόμμα τους νικούσε στις εκλογές. Οι δραστηριότητες μπορεί να ήταν εκδρομές όπως και έγινε την προτελευταία μέρα όπου πήγαμε στις Βρυξέλλες, μπορεί όμως να ήταν και παιχνίδια όπως κυνήγι θησαυρού, ακόμα και πάρτι! Στο πρόγραμμα υπήρχε επίσης σύνταγμα, δηλαδή οι βασικοί κανόνες. Το κόμμα που ήταν κυβέρνηση εκείνη την περίοδο μπορούσε να το αλλάξει με την έγκριση του προέδρου. Άμα κάποιος έκανε πράξη ενάντια στο σύνταγμα τότε γινόταν δίκη. Τους δικαστές τους διάλεγε η πρόεδρος. Επίσης υπήρχε ομάδα ΜΜΕ και αστυνομία, η οποία επιλέγονταν από την κάθε κυβέρνηση. Αυτό το πρόγραμμα έδινε πολλές ελευθερίες στους συμμετέχοντες λόγω αυτών των μηχανισμών.

Στο διάστημα 10-15 Δεκεμβρίου 2024 οργανώθηκε το ειδικό πρόγραμμα „Κινητοποίηση Γυναικών“ στο Κρυονέρι Κορινθίας σε συνεργασία με τον σύλλογο από το Βερολίνο ✨

Γυναίκες από διαφορετικά κοινωνικά περιβάλλοντα συναντήθηκαν, μοιράστηκαν ιστορίες, αντάλλαξαν απόψεις και ενδυναμώθηκαν μέσα από συζητήσεις και βιωματικά εργαστήρια με θέματα όπως την αυτοφροντίδα και το community empowerment.

Συζητήσαμε για τον ρόλο της γυναίκας στην επαρχία και στην ύπαιθρο, καθώς και τον ρόλο της σε δύσκολες στιγμές, όπως στον πόλεμο. Επισκεφθήκαμε το Μουσείο Ολοκαυτώματος στα Καλάβρυτα και παρευρεθήκαμε στην εκδήλωση μνήμης για την 81η επέτειο του Καλαβρυτινού Ολοκαυτώματος. Είδαμε την ταινία „Καινούργιος Ουρανός: Οι γυναίκες στον Δημοκρατικό Στρατό Ελλάδος“ και συναντήσαμε τον Σύλλογος Γυναικών Κρυονερίου "Εριφύλη", ανοίγοντας έναν ουσιαστικό διάλογο για την κοινωνική θέση της γυναίκας.

🚀 Η συνέχεια ήρθε τον Φεβρουάριο στο Βερολίνο! Στο διάστημα 9-14 Φεβρουαρίου εμβαθύναμε τη συνεργασία μας σχεδιάζοντας βιώσιμες πρωτοβουλίες για την ενδυνάμωση των γυναικών και των κοινοτήτων τους. Επίσης, επισκεφτήκαμε το πρώην στρατόπεδο συγκέντρωσης γυναικών Ravensbrück, όπως και την έκθεση με τίτλο «Καρυά 1943: Καταναγκαστική Εργασία και Ολοκαύτωμα» στο Κέντρο Τεκμηρίωσης για τη ναζιστική καταναγκαστική εργασία του Βερολίνου. Η έκθεση διερεύνησε την ιστορία της εβραϊκής καταναγκαστικής εργασίας υπό τους Ναζί στη μικρή πόλη Καρυά στην κεντρική Ελλάδα.
