Entaxis: Cultivating Inclusion and Empowering Youth in Kavala
In the heart of the Kavala region, specifically in the rural community of Krinides, Entaxis – Action for Inclusion and Education stands as a beacon for social justice. Established in 2020—building upon the grassroots momentum of the "4youth" group active since 2016—this NGO has dedicated itself to a singular mission: transforming diversity from a perceived barrier into a community strength.
A Mission for the Marginalized
Entaxis focuses on those who often fall through the cracks of mainstream social services. Their primary target groups include:
• Youth with Fewer Opportunities: Individuals facing social, economic, or geographical obstacles.
• Marginalized Communities: Residents of isolated agricultural areas with limited access to education and employment.
• Individuals with Disabilities: Creating specific pathways for participation and self-advocacy.
• Migrants and Refugees: Facilitating education for non-native speakers to foster true social integration.
By providing a safe, creative "space," Entaxis ensures that these individuals aren't just recipients of aid, but active participants in their own development.
Erasmus+ and International Synergy
Entaxis is a prolific beneficiary of the Erasmus+ program, working closely with the National Agency in Greece (INEDIVIM). Their work is deeply rooted in the SALTO-YOUTH framework, where youth workers engage in high-level training to bring innovative non-formal education methods back to Kavala. During this period, many projects have been carried out on inclusion, cultural heritage, sports, and tradition.

• "Create2Include" (2025-2-LT02-KA220-YOU-000374142): A forward-looking initiative exploring AI and digital pathways to enhance youth inclusion.
Highlight: In 2026, Entaxis will take on the role of coordinator for a major Youth Exchange on Ikaria Island, bringing the spirit of cooperation to one of Greece's most symbolic locations for longevity and community.
Advocacy through Action: Soft Skills & Volunteerism
At Entaxis, education goes beyond the classroom. The focus is on soft skills—creativity, critical discussion, and emotional intelligence. Through volunteerism, young people learn the power of active citizenship.
Example Activities:
• March 21st (World Down Syndrome Day): Awareness workshops and inclusive creative sessions that celebrate the unique "extra chromosome" of our community members.
• April (Autism Awareness Month): Specialized programs designed to foster understanding and create sensory-friendly environments for participation.
Empowering the Youth Board
The organization’s connection to the INEDIVIM Youth Board ensures that the voices of Kavala’s youth reach the national level. By empowering youth workers to participate in multiplier events and SALTO activities, Entaxis ensures that the local community stays connected to the latest European trends in digital youth work and social inclusion.
Through every project—whether it's an AI digital pathway or a discussion circle on a remote island—Entaxis remains committed to the idea that everyone deserves the space to grow, the tools to include, and the spirit to lead.
For a destination like Ikaria—the island "where people forget to die"—your social media campaign should blend the island's legendary "Blue Zone" longevity with the vibrant energy of youth inclusion.
