After our successful participation in the Pan- European Conference on Digital Education, we continue with the project!

The workshops for younger (from 9 to 11 years old) and older (12 to 14 years old) students are under way. We are already pilot testing the scenarios to make the necessary improvements and adjustments, so that we are ready for the new school year. As time goes by, they are becoming more detailed and versatile.

As they are an integral part of the teachers’ handbook, we are progressing with that as well. The goal is for teachers to have a complete handbook with practical help so as to promote empathy, respect and collaboration in their classrooms.

New Article | Digital Addiction Among Students: Challenges and Opportunities for Healthy Digital Development

How can we help young people build a healthier relationship with technology?

Within the framework of the DigRight – The Correct Use of Technology to Prevent Digital Addictions project, we published a new article exploring one of today’s most important educational challenges: digital addiction among students. The article promotes a balanced message: technology itself is not the problem. The focus should be on helping students develop healthier, more conscious, and more responsible digital habits.

Education has an important role to play in supporting students to become empowered and balanced digital citizens.

Teachers from Viļaka Secondary School, as part of the ERASMUS + project "RESPECT CONNECT, Creating a Safer and More Inclusive School Environment", held a discussion workshop, in which they engaged in group work and reflection activities, sharing their professional experiences on bullying.
The work provides teachers with identification of skills, examples of best practices and ideas for SEL.
The collected input serves as the basis for the development of further teaching materials within the project.

Toy-Free Month - Greece National Workshop 2026 🌿🇪🇺
On May 4th, educators from across Greece came together for the national workshop of the project, exploring how sustainability can become part of everyday kindergarten life.
Through inspiring discussions and hands-on activities, kindergarten teachers and teacher trainers discovered creative ways to:
♻️ use sustainable and recycled materials in learning
🌿 reduce plastic in kindergartens
🎨 foster children’s creativity and eco-conscious thinking
🤝 engage parents and local communities in sustainability practices
The workshop created a vibrant space for learning, sharing experiences, and building a stronger community of educators committed to a greener future for early childhood education. 💚

In April 2026, the Respect Connect partners held an online meeting to review progress across all work packages — app development, the Educator's Toolkit, the Parents' Guide, and dissemination activities. Key updates included the ongoing co-creation workshops with teachers, the upcoming international training in Greece (10–12 November 2026), and the planned App launch on iOS and Android by end of 2026. All partners are actively contributing to project outputs and dissemination through social media.

3rd Transnational Partner Meeting – Klagenfurt

Great to meet again with our partners for the 3rd TPM of the project “The correct use of technology to prevent digital addictions” (Project No. 2024-1-PL01-KA220-SCH-000251896), which took place on May 5, 2026, at Lakeside Science & Technology Park.

We had a very productive day discussing how the project is progressing, sharing feedback from the pilot phase, and exploring improvements for the mobile app and educational KIT. It was also a good opportunity to align on the next steps, clarify responsibilities, and keep everything on track moving forward.

Always valuable to exchange ideas face-to-face and strengthen our collaboration around such an important topic.
