🤔You may recall, a few weeks ago, we appealed for volunteers in order to be able to remain open for the month of August. 🐾

🪏We were absolutely blown away by the response and though we haven't been able to secure very many 'regular' volunteers, we had the help we needed when we needed it. Many people gave up some of their precious holiday time to spend a few hours helping. Others donated their day off from busy work schedules here in Corfu. 🪣

✈️We are pleased to say that in September we have more volunteers coming from abroad to help but we have loved having all the extra help from our visitors. 🥰

📷We couldn't get photographs of everyone that helped - but here are a few! Thank you so much and sorry if we spelt any names wrong 🫶

Rest in Peace Dexter 💔

🚗🚛🛻🚌Dexter was rescued from the road near Jumbo where he was roaming, living on the street. He came to CDR on 10th December 2025. 🚌🛻🚛🚗

We knew that he wouldn't be with us for long so we made every effort to make whatever time he had left, the best of his life.

💔He was around 18 years old when he passed away on 6th August 2026.

🥹You should know that you were loved Dexter and that you improved our lives as much as we improved yours
