thanks again to Ann Moradian for spelling out what has been obvious to so many practitioners yet maddeningly difficult to articulate:
"Improvisation, like ancient wisdom and movement practices, help us understand, experientially, that we are a part of the world."
The implications for our relationship to the natural world are obvious, and also why we need to build these skills:
"The suspended state of not knowing that we encounter in any type of improvisation is a sort of void that calls upon imagination, and invites possibility and creativity"
