Today, we honour the strength, resilience, and achievements of Greek and Greek-Australian women who have shaped history and continue to inspire future generations.

✨ Aiva Anagnostiadis – The first Greek Australian in the F1 Academy, paving the way for women in motorsport.

✨ Sofia Bekatorou – A two-time Olympic medalist and trailblazer for women’s rights in Greece.

✨️ Laskarina Bouboulina – The fearless naval commander who played a crucial role in the Greek War of Independence.

✨ Aspasia – The brilliant intellectual, philosopher, and teacher of Socrates.

✨ Hypatia – A pioneering mathematician, astronomer, and philosopher

✨Melina Mercouri– Award-winning actress, politician, and cultural icon who won Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival.

✨ Helena Paparizou – The only Greek artist to win Eurovision, bringing Greek music to the world stage.

✨ Queen Gorgo of Sparta – A powerful and politically astute queen known for her wisdom, influence, and fearless leadership.
