Linda Lucas has been living in the Apokoronas area of Crete for more than 40 years. During that time she has devoted herself to taking in and looking after hundreds of sick, old and abandoned dogs, using her own money to build a shelter on her own land. Now Linda has about 65 dogs in the shelter and with almost no financial support its getting more and more difficult to cover even all the basic ne
eds of the shelter. Linda herself lives in very modest conditions and her strength is waning, so she urgently needs help to be able to continue to take care for this sanctuary and give the dogs love and care, that they so desperately need. This group was created with the goal to support Linda to:
-> REHOME as many dogs as possible: If you are interested in a specific dog and would like to get more information, please feel free to reach out. We will also provide you detailed information about the adoption process.
-> Create a HEALTHY LIVING ENVIRONMENT for the dogs in the shelter. We want to make sure they are in good health conditions and can live in a safe and clean environment. We are looking for support in the following areas:
-> VOLUNTEERS: To help with the dogs in the shelter or fix the shelter itself (fences, craft work…)
