On the International Day of Women in Diplomacy we are delighted to share some images and information on the 2nd “Women and Diplomacy” conference organized by the Department of International and European Studies at the University of Piraeus .gr in collaboration with Women Act. Government officials, ambassadors, policy makers, politicians, academics, journalists and students were in attendance. We highlighted the pivotal role of women in strategic positions, decision-making roles and positions of leadership. The discussions covered a broad and timely range of issues such as the role of women as mediators in resolving international conflicts, breaking stereotypes and advancing women in high-level diplomacy and the concept and practice of “feminist diplomacy”.
