Hear from the teachers, schools and education authorities who developed and tested 26 practical climate activities for students aged 9–13, and explore the materials designed to bring climate change into the classroom.

How do you explain to a ten-year-old why summers keep getting hotter?

And perhaps more importantly, how do you help them understand what they can do about it?

Join us on 12 October for the final event of the Erasmus+ PARCCE project on climate change education in the Mediterranean, in Rome or online.

Across the Mediterranean, teachers are looking for practical ways to bring climate change into the classroom. Over the past three years, schools, universities and education authorities in Cyprus, France, Greece and Italy have developed and tested 26 ready-to-use activities for students aged 9–13.

At the event, we’ll hear from the teachers, schools and ministries behind the resources and discuss what climate change education can look like in the Mediterranean.

Coming soon, we'll adapt the materials for Arabic-speaking educators and students, with examples that connect to everyday life across the Arab region.

It’s midnight. The sun went down hours ago.�So why is the flat still so hot?

Concrete and asphalt soak up heat all day, then release it through the night. Fewer trees and gardens in our neighbourhoods mean less shade and less relief. A warming climate makes it worse.

This week, try this:� ☀️ Close the sun-facing shutters during the day� 🌙 Open windows on the shaded side after sunset� 🪴 Put plants on the balcony/window sill.

Small things. They add up when a whole street does them.

Our Climate - Our Community is a regional campaign that connects people across the Mediterranean - with a particular focus on communities along its southern and eastern shores.

We believe climate change is too important to stay locked inside scientific reports.
It belongs in our markets. Our schools. Our conversations around the table.

Through science, education, and stories, we work alongside civil society, local communities, and young people to turn understanding into action.

We’re here to empower communities to protect what we share: our land, our sea, our climate.
