Project Armonia joins the call for the immediate restoration of the financial assistance programme for asylum seekers.

People seeking international protection in Greece have not received the financial assistance they are entitled to under European and Greek Law since May 2024, effectively depriving them of their right to dignified living conditions.

📣 We call on the Greek state to immediately restore the programme, and the European Commission to ensure that Greece is fulfilling its legal obligations.

Welcome to our new group of Commis-Chefs in training! 🍅🥦🫛

We’re so pleased to welcome our new group of students to our culinary training course. During the course, participants are trained as Commis-Chefs (Assistant Cooks) and gain accreditation in our training centre, certified by ACTA–a Spin-off of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Thank you to our education coordinator, Akis, and to our amazing students – we’re so happy to be on this culinary journey with you! 👨‍🍳

We were delighted to host our community as well as our partners for a special New Year event! 🎊

For the second time in our kitchen in Athens, we opened our doors to welcome our guests. During the event, we spent time together, getting to know each other, and also cut a very special vasilopita (traditional Greek New Years’ cake) prepared by our fantastic Commis-Chef students and our Chef, Akis. 🍰

At the same time, Emfasis’s team were on-site, providing information to our guests and helping them to access other vital services.

💜 A huge thank you to our students, Emfasis, and our community for making this event possible and for a wonderful afternoon spent celebrating together!

Introducing our amazing partners, CHEERing! 🙌

CHEERing is an organisation dedicated to promoting health equity for refugee mothers and children in Attika, Greece.

Alongside their clinics, distributions and educational activities on preventative health, CHEERing also offers football training for girls and boys residing in Malakasa camp. ⚽ Coaches are Malakasa camp residents and CHEERing team members with international coaching and playing experience.

We’re proud to have supported this amazing initiative for the last 3 years by providing nutritious meals weekly for participants to enjoy after training. ✨
