My name is Tolo, and I find myself in Athens, a city that has become my new home. Initially, I had different intentions for being here, but the moment I arrived, my eyes were opened to the immense suffering endured by animals in this beautiful country. Day by day, the pain I witnessed on the streets touched my soul in ways I couldn't ignore. It became clear to me that I needed to take action. So,
I began to take in more and more animals, one by one, offering them solace and a chance at a better life. The deep connection I formed with these furry souls made it impossible for me to turn away. From the lonely street cats in desperate need of care, to the abandoned and mistreated dogs seeking a loving touch, I have made it my mission to be there for them. It hasn't been an easy journey, but every effort has been worth it. I've taken on the responsibility of sterilizing animals to prevent further suffering, providing medical attention to the sick and injured, and offering a safe refuge for those discarded and mistreated. I do it all on my own expenses, knowing that I'm doing what I can, even from the confines of my Athens apartment. However, my dreams extend far beyond these four walls. I aspire to achieve more, to reach a larger scale, and make an even greater impact. My ultimate goal is to establish a place where animals can find solace, rehabilitation, and the opportunity to be embraced by loving families. Though I fund this endeavor on my own, I remain hopeful that one day, with the support of others who share my vision, I can make my dreams a reality. Together, we can create a future where the suffering of animals is minimized, where compassion knows no boundaries, and where every precious life is valued. For now, I continue my work in Athens, pouring my heart and soul into the animals who have found their way into my care.
