Meet the TESOuLers: Yulie Lamprou-Sklia & Sakis Sklias 💙

What brings passionate educators together, no matter where they are?

This week, we travel to Chalkida, Evia, to meet Yulie Lamprou-Sklia and Sakis Sklias, the dynamic duo behind Sklia Education.

For Yulie Sklia and Sakis Sklias, TG is a shared passion for teaching, lifelong learning, and the meaningful connections that make education so much more than a profession. 🌱

🌟 Yulie is an EFL educator, language school co-founder, holistic learning and life coach, and a passionate advocate for education that develops the whole person. With an MBA and expertise in learning difficulties, career guidance NLP and neurocoaching, she brings together language learning, creativity and personal growth.

🌟 Sakis, an experienced English teacher and co-founder of Sklia Education, is equally committed to innovation and lifelong learning. Humour and human connection are his most powerful tools in creating an environment where every student can grow with confidence. Recently completing his CELTA qualification, he demonstrates that professional development is not simply something we encourage in our students — it is something we live ourselves!

As the people who helped organise our TESOL Greece Out-of-Town event in Chalkida, Yulie & Sakis also bring the spirit of our community to their hometown. 💙

Together, they remind us that a true community knows no geographical boundaries. It grows through the people who bring it to life, the ideas they share, and the inspiration they find in one another.

Because TESOL Greece is not simply about conferences, workshops, or professional development. It is about belonging. And that is exactly what “Meet the TESOuLers” is all about: YOUR stories, YOUR experiences, and the people who make TESOL Greece what it is.

A community that connects us, wherever we are. 💙

Who said board meetings have to be boring even when they are 3+ hours long? 😊

Around a table, an idea finds another voice, a different perspective opens a possibility, and “what if we…?” becomes something to look forward to.

That’s a part of TESOL Greece we love: sharing inspiration with people who care about our teaching community and what we can create together.

Yes, there are agendas, decisions and plenty of planning. There’s also laughter, connection and the pleasure of seeing an idea grow as others add their own spark.

The community we hope to build begins with the connections we make ourselves. 💙

Are you eager to find out what new is coming up?
