๐ŸŽ“ Meeting the next generation โ€” and introducing them to the future of agriculture! On December 12, 2025, our team participated in the School Education Fair organised by the High School of Economics "Stana Milanoviฤ‡" in ล abac, Serbia โ€” an event dedicated to career counselling and helping high school graduates explore higher education pathways. Universities and educational institutions came together to present their programmes, methodologies, and opportunities โ€” through informational materials and direct, face-to-face conversations with students.โ€‹

As part of UNSFA's presence at the fair, we had the wonderful opportunity to introduce the TALLHEDA project to a curious and engaged young audience. Talking to high school graduates about digital agriculture, smart farming, and the role of higher education in shaping the future of food systems was both energising and rewarding. These are the future agronomists, researchers, and innovators โ€” and planting the seed of awareness early matters.โ€‹

๐ŸŒฑ Events like this remind us that outreach isn't just about reaching peers and professionals โ€” it's also about inspiring the next wave of talent to join us in building a more sustainable agricultural future.โ€‹

๐Ÿ”— Erasmus+ projects connecting โ€” and TALLHEDA's progress takes centre stage! On
September 10, 2025, Smart Agro Hub had the pleasure of presenting the TALLHEDA project
at an event organised by Digibuild โ€” a fellow Erasmus+ initiative โ€” in Athens, Greece.โ€‹

It was a fantastic opportunity to speak directly to a research community audience and
share where TALLHEDA stands today: the milestones reached, the outputs delivered, and
the road ahead. Events like this one are a reminder of the strength of the Erasmus+
ecosystem โ€” where projects don't exist in silos but actively connect, learn from one
another, and amplify each other's impact. The conversations sparked at Digibuild events
are exactly the kind that help move research closer to real-world application.โ€‹

๐ŸŒพ TALLHEDA takes the stage at the SYMPEGA Precision Agriculture Workshop! On March 12, 2025, the project was represented at the hybrid workshop "Partnerships for Innovation in Precision Agriculture: New Technologies for Sustainable Agricultural Crops", held at the Conference and Cultural Center of the University of Patras โ€” and we made it count with two strong contributions!โ€‹

๐ŸŽค Konstantinos Demestichas (AUA) delivered an online presentation entitled "Digital Agriculture Technologies in the Academic Education of the Next Generation Agronomists", showcasing TALLHEDA's Work Package 1 outputs on the research, innovation, and education needs of widening Higher Education Institutions.โ€‹

๐ŸŽค Katerina Konstantinou (REZOS) presented a project overview in the Projects' Synergies section, walking the audience through TALLHEDA's vision and anticipated outputs, and highlighting how it connects with complementary initiatives in the precision agriculture space.โ€‹

Together, these presentations brought TALLHEDA's work in front of an engaged audience of industry partners and research communities โ€” reinforcing the project's relevance and opening doors for new collaborations.โ€‹

Throwback!โ€‹

๐ŸŽ“ On October 22, 2024, the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) hosted a Multiplier Event as part of the project โ€” and what an afternoon it was! Participants who attended the TALLHEDA Ghent Summer School returned to Athens with fresh perspectives, hands-on experiences, and new ideas โ€” and gathered together with AUA students and faculty to pass that knowledge forward. The event was designed to do exactly what its name suggests: multiply the impact of the summer school by sharing its outcomes with a wider academic community. From cutting-edge approaches in agri-tech and digital agriculture, to the cross-border connections forged in Ghent, the conversations were rich, inspiring, and a testament to the power of experiential learning in research communities. โ€‹

Throwback!โ€‹

โ€๐ŸŒพ From knowledge to business โ€” and from the classroom to the field! On September 19, 2024, Foodscale Hub co-organized a landmark conference at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Novi Sad, together with PFUNS and with TERRA joining as well. The event โ€” "Improving the Conditions for the Development of Women's Entrepreneurship in Agriculture in Vojvodina and the Importance of Digital Education" โ€” brought together women entrepreneurs, rural community members, academics, and policymakers to explore how digital education can unlock new opportunities for women in agriculture.โ€‹

We were proud to present the TALLHEDA project at the event. Professor Dr. Nenad Magazin, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Novi Sad, introduced TALLHEDA as a complementary initiative focused on integrating digital education in agriculture โ€” a perfect fit for a conference dedicated to empowering women through knowledge and technology.โ€‹

๐ŸŒพ From the fields of Srbobran! Our team took part in the 25th edition of Srbobranska brazda โ€” one of Serbia's most beloved regional agricultural events, featuring a traditional land cultivation competition
that draws farmers and rural communities from across the region.โ€‹

We were proud to present the TALLHEDA project to event visitors โ€” sharing what we are building, where we are headed, and how TALLHEDA's future plans can bring real value to farming communities
like those gathered in Srbobran.โ€‹

It was a grounding and inspiring experience to engage directly with citizens and farmers โ€” the very people at the heart of what this project is about. Their curiosity and enthusiasm confirmed that awareness and community connection are just as important as the technology itself.โ€‹

Smart Agro Hub proudly represented the TALLHEDA project at Agrotica 2026 โ€” one of
Europe's leading agri-tech exhibitions, held on March 12, 2026 in Thessaloniki, Greece.โ€‹

It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with farmers, agri-tech innovators, industry
professionals, and rural communities, and to shine a spotlight on what TALLHEDA is
building for the future of sustainable agriculture.โ€‹

Our goal at this event was clear: raise awareness about the TALLHEDA project and its
potential to transform agri-food systems through smart, data-driven solutions.โ€‹

The conversations we had and the connections we made reinforced just how much
appetite there is for this kind of innovation in the agricultural sector.โ€‹
