Last week, 10 young people from Velos Youth had the opportunity to spend a wonderful day at Parko Tritsi as part of the AMIF – Agri for Integration project, hosted by Organisation Earth.
Together, we explored the world of sustainable agriculture through hands-on activities in the organic vegetable garden, learned about opportunities in the agri-food sector, visited the beautiful Pyrgos Vasilissis, and finished the day by preparing and sharing a delicious meal made with fresh ingredients from the garden.
But what our young people brought back with them was much more than new knowledge. They returned with smiles, new friendships, and a renewed sense of connection. Spending the day working with the earth, sharing stories, discovering each other’s skills and experiences, and simply enjoying nature together made this a truly memorable experience for everyone—including the two Velos Youth team members who joined the excursion.
